Craig Bellamy

I cannot understand why people keep having a go at Bellamy on this and other message boards. After all he was great for us during his loan spell when he no doubt attracted many new young fans to the club. Then when he signed permanently he was instrumental in getting us to the premier league. I can only assume that his detractors fall into one of two camps. Either they are the ones who are more concerned about the colour of the shirt than results on the pitch or they believe that the Tinkerman will get us promoted with such a "great squad of players", conveniently forgetting that we are sadly lacking a genuine, skilful box to box midfield general.

I can't recall any one slagging of CB recently, & why should anyone?

For me, Craig Ballamy really was a case of "cometh the hour, cometh the man.

His leadership qualities, along side his undoubted skill, were pivotal to us getting promoted to the Premiership.

I, personally, have no doubts about that.

never really liked him and apparently he never really liked us either....its not all about football for me and even then his last year for us was very poor.
