Well done Vincent Tan

Sat Sep 06, 2014 7:43 pm

It has been over a year since our owner and benefactor Vincent Tan agreed a settlement figure with Langston over a debt with the club. The long standing debt was agreed to settle for £26.5m and a down payment of £15m was paid within 30 days of contracts being signed off by legal representatives of both parties.

In return for settling the debt, our club holds the naming rights of Cardiff City Stadium and Langston had a directorship on the board which is currently held by Michael Filiou, that directorship will end once the last payment to Langston is paid. Sam Hammam received a life presidency as part of the negotiations.

The remaining £11.5m is being settled on an arranged agreement which our owner has committed to.

Unless Vincent Tan had provided the funds then there was very little chance that Cardiff City could have rid itself of the Langston debt.

Two years our owner had investigators scouring over this debt but concluded the debt had to be paid for the good of our club.

The club is nearing the end of finally settling this long standing debt thanks to Vincent Tan.

If I worked for the club and wanted to post anything to do with the club then id like to think my information would be upstanding enough to not have to name myself 'staff'. Its reeks of an randomer desperate to get some fake credibility.

What annoys me is the fact that nobody moans about the money owed to Langston, should we be grateful for that debt and all that has followed because of it ? :bluescarf:

In one hand Vincent uses his wealth and business ability to improve certain areas of the clubs future.
in his other hand he holds a rather large gun, aims it at his foot and pulls the trigger repeatedly.
