The long standing debt was agreed to settle for £26.5m and a down payment of £15m was paid within 30 days of contracts being signed off by legal representatives of both parties.
In return for settling the debt, our club holds the naming rights of Cardiff City Stadium and Langston had a directorship on the board which is currently held by Michael Filiou, that directorship will end once the last payment to Langston is paid. Sam Hammam received a life presidency as part of the negotiations.
The remaining £11.5m is being settled on an arranged agreement which our owner has committed to.
Unless Vincent Tan had provided the funds then there was very little chance that Cardiff City could have rid itself of the Langston debt.
Two years our owner had investigators scouring over this debt but concluded the debt had to be paid for the good of our club.
The club is nearing the end of finally settling this long standing debt thanks to Vincent Tan.
