Why does Dæhli....

Always play in black shoes only? ;)

When he joined the Manchester United academy, Sir Alex Ferguson had a few "rules" and/or advice to the youngsters at the club. This included the traditional black shoes. If you wanted to wear colorful, fancy shoes, you could do so only after breaking into the first team as a sign of reaching a certain level. Until that point, only traditional black shoes were allowed. Daehli took a lot from the advice Sir Alex gave him, and it suits his humble, hard-working personality too I guess. So thats the reason why Mats have worn black shoes only since crossing the pond.

I love his attitude, so refreshing most young players think they "made it" as soon as they played a few games for the first team and off they go buying some fancy car ( cough.. Zaha).
Hope this guy fullfills his potential :thumbright:

how do you know what car he drives? have you seen the CCFC players car park?

every one is an extremely expensive, luxury car, i doubt daehli is driving a morris marina despite achieving nothing in the game.

I don't of course, but if his attitude that he won't buy expensive boots until he considers he has reached a certain level i really don't think he drives a sports car. I am sure you get my point!

Because he's the most grounded footballer I've met. He's got the world at his feet. I met him for a photo after Bath and he's a really decent guy, really hope he reaches maximum ability here. :ayatollah:

David Cameron is an over privileged eton educated posh marketing man that goes to cornwall as a marketing ploy because he is a politician. Thats a different thing all together.
I am talking about young footballers who believe their own hype too early. Then they don't work hard and their potential isn't fulfilled.
Its important he doesnt believe his own hype because that will drive him to work as hard as he can to make the most of his abilities. Drive and hunger for improvement is almost as important as talent imo.
