That won't happen.
The decision will be made at the end of the season when the season ticket price freeze is over.
Still in the Championship and we will revert to blue as the club will need positivity so fans will renew.
Up in the Premier League and we will remain red as the fans will buy up tickets whatever the shirt colour.

The club must have seen a dramatic drop in their sales since we were changed to red. Many fans like myself no longer go into the club shop.

Can't happen mid season according to FL rules

I would think replica shirts do not account for much income in comparison to sponsorship, TV revenue and ST's
Let's be over optimistic and say we sell 20,000 home shirts. Mainly kids so let's say £40 a pop.
£800k and that's not all profit.

I appreciate your point but does anyone really know by how much if any at all has the change to red benefited the club.

There has been rumours doing the rounds around the Club.
Tan has kept his distance from the club for the last couple of months.
I really would like to know whats going on in his head?

1) IF we did return to blue for next year BUT kept the badge as it currently is (The "compromise" Tan alluded to maybe?) Would you accept that, and could you live with that?
Personally I could - we've had badge changes in the past, and despite the "Fire and Passion" element, I think I prefer the current one over Sam's St David's crest.....its does show out welsh identity in a way no longer shown on our shirts since the welsh flag was dropped, and with the bluebird being on a blue shirt, it does maintain our Cardiff identiy....maybe just tweek it to make the bird 10 - 20% bigger on the crest?
Not really. If we return to blue I would like to see a redesigned badge. Something that eliminates the memory of the rebrand.
2) Would you see the odd few people wearing "old red" gear - shirts / tops / polos / hats / scarves etc would you see them as being antagonistic or "anti Cardiff city"?
Again, personally I would just see it as being "retro" and it would not bother me as like it or not, the red is part of CCFC history.... I certainly would feel no need to comment or make a snyde remark to them.
You can't change history but you can eliminate it from your memory bank. I personally wont say anything just like I don't say anything now unless I am asked.
I've previously admitted to buying the red to keep my "shirt collection" going, or getting CCFC gear to use in work - but I'm a "reluctant red", and would very very much like top see us back in the blue....as would we all I'm sure. If it means blue but keeping the badge as is, its one I can live with!
Just a few questions....the 1st one especially!

Annis, it has always been my opinion that continued attacks on Tan would have the opposite effect to what was wanted by ALL the club's paying supporters
If true, this apparent 'softening' of approach from Tan might just be the result of a similar 'softening' from paying supporters, since the revelations about Malky, the great squad assembled in the summer, and the realisation that (blue apart until now) the guy might just have the "best interests" of Cardiff City FC at heart, even if his ambitions simply tie in with his own personal agenda
I guess we will have to wait and see, but there HAS already been talk of some compromise on colour for next season and us fans need to be patient, if we are to encourage Tan to "go the whole Hog"
Keep up the 19:27 show of defiance and cut out the personal abuse and we just might be at the start of something good on the colour front!![]()
