Guerra-Work this one out?

Wed Sep 03, 2014 9:39 am

We nearly signed him as our deadline day deal striker last January and was meant to be our top striker we were crying out for but it fell through.
Now we got him in the championship he can't get a game?
His class is obvious but fair play to kenwynne he's scored goals to keep him out so far and macheda but kenwynne is not the answer to our problems I believe because guerra and macheda are both overall better players.
It's like Rudy gestede he scored goals last season in the championship but would he be touted as a striker who could fire you to the premiership like kenwynne has by our fans? I think not but similar situation and goals scored. Over a full season kenwynne is not the man to rely on for our team to get promoted.

guerra was injured through the start of the season, took a while to get fit as he misse dsome pre season hence hwy he hasnt started, with kenwyne scoring for fun he is finding it hard to replace him

dont see whats confusing about why he isnt playing tbh

You've sort of answered your own question in your 3rd sentence. With KJ's record of goals so far this season he must play.
However, cream rises to the top so Javi has to be patient & wait his chance. I think it will come it's a long season.

Yes good point, sooner rather than later hopefully because hoof ball to kenwynne will not get us promoted.

agreed. its obvious, he was injured and hes just getting back to match fitness. that and the fact kenwyn has been scoring goals. hes being brought in slowly and soon he will start to knock maynard out of his spot and play more football...

Not really. I'd say a hard working, organized team which is hard to beat with a good team spirit got us promoted last time out

A hard working, organised team which played hoofball. The two are not mutually exclusive.

I think Guerra has been struggling with a few knocks that’s why he has been in and out but in the meantime Jones has taken his chance and done very well and deserves his place in the team.
