Can't get my head around it?
We have signed Bruno manga 26, Sean Morrison 23, these are probably both sharper and younger than Hudson now when he is 32. Not to mention Ben turner to come back from injury and Connolly and gabbidon!
Now ole sees Hudson day in day out in training and it wouldn't surprise me one bit that he sees that Hudson just lacks that yard of pace and sharpness to be ahead of any of the other centre halfs at the club.
He would be on the bench all season more likely so what is so hard to believe about him being allowed to leave the club for first team football elsewhere?

You have to realise this has nothing to do with Hudson, it's just a way for people to have a go at Ole and Tan.

Who has said this then? Can't be arsed scrolling through threads but be interested to know?
Nonsense if true, why people would be up in arms over a bench player leaving just says one of two things..
Either they got an agenda against the manager and owner or they haven't got a clue about football?

if you look at
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=146851 there are a few comments about Ole having no sense, etc. That's also what the thread title clearly implies.

I could not agree more. I too am grateful to Hudson and wish him well at Huddersfield, but legend? Good player but no better than many who have worn the shirt over the years. For the first couple of years Hudson got nothing but stick on here but people are talking as if he was a world beater. Is he any better than Loovens or Johnson? Was he a better captain than say Purse (a real battler and a gent too)? Some people are talking as if Hudson got us promoted single handed. He happened to be club captain in a season when Tan pumped in millions (and missed a large chunk of it). He was also club captain (hardly playing admittedly) during our relegation season.
So why are some so OTT about him leaving? We even had a thread about him being replaced by Gabbidon, which was absurd as he was clearly replaced by Manga, and was presumably meant to be just anti Ole.
We now have an exciting new, young CB. Surely its time for some positivity here.

Exactly! Really can't get my head around it! We swear we have left Vincent kompany leave the club when we haven't got back up or signed any new defenders to replace him! Crazy.

Absolutely. Captained the side into the premier league for the first time, whilst picking up player of the season in the process.
Certainly puts him in the running for "legendary" status.

I am disappointed that Hudson is leaving & that's sod all to do with Tan.

But you surely cannot argue that there have been many a post and thread using it to bash Ole with since the Hudson sale?
Annis himself wrote that he could not believe Hudson has been replaced by Gabbidon, which is clearly bollocks as Manga and Morrison have replaced Caulker and Hudson from last years squad. Gabbidon has just been added as insurance and experience around the squad hence the coaching role.

You obviously haven't read the other threads : "Has Ole lost his mind?" "Hudson was forced from the club!" "What was Ole thinking?" etc.
I'm not saying that you personally use this to have a go at Ole and Tan (I don't pay much attention to your posts tbh) but don't pretend that many on here aren't using this as a Ole/Tan battering ram.

Jinks, Hudson is def not a Cardiff City legend thats for sure.

Part of football I'm afraid. Players have always come and gone, either because of money, or because they are no longer part of the club's future plans. Happens to every club, and there will be plenty more transfers to come that will disappoint fans. I was gutted as a youngster when we sold Toshack, and have seen plenty more good players leave, mainly because we needed the money. Just got to accept it and move on.

I most certainly have. Which is why I am disagreeing with your crass generalisation that people are using it to have a pop at Tan.
One or two have, that doesn't mean that those who are questioning the decision are having a pop at Tan.
As for the other thread quotes... Well I don't see what was wrong with them? If that is their opinion.

You've started a thread called "I honestly cant get my head around to why would you get rid of Hudson" which clearly criticises the powers that be for getting rid of him.
You even claimed that Hudson was replaced by Gabbidon, which is obviously not the case as Danny will be last in the pecking order to replace Hudson. But you're just making it sound like it's a straight swap, when I think you know well that it isn't. Are you just stirring?
Further on in this thread, a number of people are doubting Ole's decision on this and then you say (post 45496)
"Because Pulis was the manager at Palace and we had Ole as our manager, who did not have a clue last season in what he was doing and results proved that, hopefully Ole has learnt a lot from that experience.
I hope I am proved totally wrong and the decision proves Ole right in doing this

"
which shows the true colour of this thread: just another way to bash Ole or even Tan for forcing Hudson to quit the club (even though we have another 3-4 younger, fitter and arguably more talented replacements)
Why don't you just come out and say you don't support Ole and don't wish him well, instead of having all these threads and posts questioning him all the time ?! Why do you keep repeating "Best squad in years, now there's no excuse" if you really support the manager ?! Supporting someone means you trust them and accept their decisions. You seem to be going out of your way to find things to criticise Ole for.

Yep, there is no room for sentimentality in football. You can't keep players just because they were good 2 years ago.

Read all my posts, I am questioning why our manager Ole got rid of Hudson, which surely I am entitled to ask?
And if you read all my posts, I say I honestly dont feel Ole will take us up and you know Ive already stated this on numerous occasions and surely once again I am entitled to my opinion?
It is the best squad Ive ever seen us have

Annis I have a question you hadn't answered in the other thread. Why is Hudson(32) a better option for a player-coach on 20k a week(who will be 5th Choice CB) than Gabbidon(35) under 10k a week(who will be 5th Choice CB)?

Who said Hudson is on £20,000 a week?
Gabbidon under £10,000 a week?
Just say those figures are right.
You could say why are paying most first team players over £30,000 basic each a week?
I rate Hudson over Gabbidon at this current moment as a player and potential coach, thats my opinion and I could be proved wrong?
In the past Gabbidon was way ahead of Hudson.
Hudson was currently our Captain and I would of liked to have seen him play more this season as this is his level.

Our wages from 10/11 was the same as 11/12. Hudson was clearly on a high wage, you're not captain and not on a high wage.
Gabbidon WILL be on a low wage. He's not expecting to play much. Ole said this is a football club not a social club. We're paying most first team players over 30k a week because of clauses in contracts from promotion and that we have parachute payments to help with the high wages. Remember we have also got rid of a few high earners.
You may rate Hudson as a player and that's fine, but as already been said you think Gabbidon will play consistently and the real reality is, that he won't. We signed a CB for 5m and Morrison for 1-3m. Why would Gabbidon even feature? Gabbidon featured 23 times for Palace, yet Hudson barely featured for us. Funny that considering Gabbidon is three years older than Hudson.
You said Gabbidon has no experience as a coach but would be happy for Hudson to be a coach, despite no experience being on a higher wager, three years younger than Gabbs and also wanting first team football?
Wed Sep 03, 2014 2:55 pm
At least he leaves the club knowing that people will still be talking about "that goal" for years to come. Youngsters who were there that day will probably remember that goal in the same way that I remember Clarke's goal in the ECWC quarter final. Not that many goals you distinctly remember when you get older, but I think the Hudson goal will always be one that sticks in your mind.

Doubt if too many people are 'crying', just sorry to see a popular player and club captain leave. That's football, and many of us wish Mark Hudson well for the future. That's all.

Of course you are. Its the way you phrase it and the innuendos in your post that suggest this is not just a simple question but yet another dig at Ole.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion. But I don't know what your opinion is. On one hand you say you're supporting Ole 100% and on the other hand you keep having sly digs at him and say you don't feel he'll take us up. Which one is it ?
Forever Blue wrote:It is the best squad Ive ever seen us have

I agree, but why do you usually follow this with "...we can't possibly fail" or words to that effect ? It seems like you're saying this just to aggravate Ole's anticipated failure.

I shed a tear but I'm a girl. It was more to do with his being an all round decent bloke and a good leader - I think his presence will be missed at the club. His football less so due to the new players.
And who can forget his legendary we're coming for you aboard the bus...
