A fair view on the current situation

Sat Aug 30, 2014 8:42 pm

I haven't been impressed with the majority of performances For me we still look like we are in pre season at times. Very slow to get going and I don't know if this is due to a lack of passion and desire within the camp or just a bad pre-season or a few glitches in the training schedule.

On the pitch I feel we have to many vulnerability's that can be exploited and we also have players within the team who are at times prone to making costly mistakes.

As a squad we have depth and we have no problem finding the net, if things go our way we could find ourselves in the play offs whiles't only playing medioker to average at best for a large proportion of games. So it's not all doom and gloom.
I've also said from day 1 this year we will win the play off's.
I wont be surprised if we are chasing and we peak in winter when the games get sluggish and players start to get fatigued this is when we can really push.

My view on our battle plan for this campaign is a slow and steady one and like a dark horse from amoungst the chasing pack I can see us making a strong challenge and creeping into the play offs. like many have done before us.
As long as we stay there or there about's (which we will) I'm confident even with Ole in charge our squad depth will get us in the top 6.

I don't really fancy another play-off final. Still haven't fully recovered mentally from the last one. Got my final counselling session next month   :bluescarf:

As the season progresses I think the size and depth of our squad should give us an edge over most other teams in the division.

Yes but with the squad we got we shouldn't be chasing the pack and a dark horse

On paper No your right , but we have no leaders no figures of authority on the pitch.
We are running around like headless chickens.

Our attack for example - Kewyne Jones was a miss fit last season hes now our top guy, we have 2 foreign guys still trying to find their feet in Macheda and Guerra, We have Maynard who is trying to find his place after his loan and shot of confidence. And we have Le Fondre who again is new trying to find his feet and not a leader.

It's the same story in midfield new faces no leaders to we are too passive, and even in defence we lack a commander.

As for our team relationship I wouldn't know but I'm guessing it isn't great because usually when it is the creativity is fluent
