Question for all Malky defenders

Thu Aug 28, 2014 7:31 am

If it was the other way round, if Vincent Tan was found to have referred -in his professional capacity- to Malky as 'white trash' or 'f**ing honky, if he had called other players or agents 'ghosts'' or 'round-eyes' or 'homos', if he had implied that the Welsh/Scots are money-grabbing scum, if he made sexist remarks, then would you still:

- say that he just 'made a mistake' ?
- call it 'banter' ?
- say 'he without sin, etc'
- claim he should be given another chance ?
- believe that he should be allowed to get another job in football ?

I'm assuming that you know Malky made remarks calling people the equivalent to the names you have used in your post??
Not defending Malky just pointing out that this is a needless post unless you have seen the txt's or emails and can prove they were sent by him.....

well he's admited to and apologised to a fair few of them so....

surely you understand that even if it was alledged that tan had sent messages of that nature then the reaction of this board would be the polar opposit of the malky apologists we are currently seeing? deep down we all know it would be a witch hunt

You do realise that when someone confesses and apologises for something that mean IT DID ACTUALLY OCCUR?

Yeah I realise that. But has he confessed to sending or saying ALL of the things that are posted in here?? All I'm saying is loads are posting shite about things that none of us know about... He's admitted to 2 or was it 3 txt messages. The ones that I seen reported in the press weren't anywhere near what's been posted on here. Instead of needless posts we should wait and see what actually comes out that is real!!! Not defending him but like so many on here I don't know the real facts so will wait to form my final opinion on him.

I haven't said that they are defendable or said I'm defending him.... Just pointing out that nobody on here has seen the txt messages and Malky didn't quote the txt messages that he addmitted to so we still don't know really what they were.... Just press talk which we all know is always correct!!!
As far as the OP goes the poster is right... It would be a witch hunt against Tan.... But haven't we already got one of those running???

yes, but although you say "we havent seen the texts" there are plenty of people defending them anyway, so in their minds these texts are real. And to those people they would see it very differently is Tan had used these phrases and not St Malcom.

Well done for you remaining impartial until all the facts come out. But many on here are defending malky just because they want another stick to beat Tan with, or they're actually defending racism, either way, its very hypocritical indeed

Think to be fair that there are not that many on here defending him. The small group that are supporting him are just repeating themselves in numerous separate posts. Most posters on here come across as decent sensible people, and wouldn't try to defend the indefensible.

Whether we like it or not such comments do form banter when spoken between the general public in private conversations and does not make millions of people racist. However Malky was acting in a professional capacity sending texts on a company phone which will be judged in a different light. Was he foolish yes, were the comments derogatory yes. Are some people overreacting and want him hung from the gallows yes. The problem for Malky now is that an institution will be investigating him that has been plagued with racial issues and who are committed to adopt a zero tolerance. Even a perception of a racial slur will be dealt with in extremely strong terms so Malky will most probably receive a severe sanction. It will be impossible for Malky to appeal against any sanction as he fully understands the need to be (sorry for the pun) whiter than white in the industry in which he operates.

It's all about context and timing. As someone else said in another thread, banter only applies between friends or people who respect each other. I also add 'as long as they're part of it and they don't mind it'. There's a huge difference between that and referring to them as 'f**ng chinkys' or 'homos' behind their back or taking satisfaction from the fact that they're not making money simply because of their race. This is downright hateful stuff and not even close to banter.

As for the rest of your post, I agree. It's not looking good for Malky and I, for one, won't be upset to see him severly sanctioned.

If vincent tan did what Malky did there'd be a riot.

Hudson and Connolly are Malky defenders - what are the questions for them?

I think Malky & Moody were bang out of order and I'm not condoning their disgraceful behaviour...

However, exactly how do you know that Vincent Tan has never said anything like this about Malky, Moody or anyone else? - Nobody knew that Malky or Moody were racist, sexist or homophobic until the press release... The police certainly won't be looking through Tan's phone as there is no allegation against him.

I can't wait until this nonsence is over with. Malky & Moody have tarnished themselves and the club. I feel sorry for Solskjaer - He is trying his best to turn the attention back to the football and his Cardiff City squad yet everything keep coming back to these numpties.

I don't know what Tan has said. I do know what Malky, Moody have said. Simples.

hopefully that should be good for him as it should stop all the silly 'bring Malky back' comments.
