Who do you think is the best striker in the league?

In my opinion I think it is between Rhodes and Deeney. I really don't rate McCormack, and I think he will struggle under the weight of expectation at fulham. I have always quite rated Kenwyne Jones but I just don't think he is as good as Rhodes/Deeney. It would have been interesting to see Frazier Campbell for your lot this season as I think he may have done quite well, i would have expected 20 goals as a minimum from him.

Of your strikers:

Guerra - no nothing about him, no idea if he will suit the championship or not.
Macheda - big disappointment, never developed as many thought he might, did score some goals at birmingham but hardly going to win you the league
Jones - as I said, I rate him, useful as a target man but i don't think will score 20 goals this season
Le Fondre - if played centrally as a poacher, then is potentially in the top five strikers in the league (the big word here is IF)
Nicky Maynard - has he not just gone back on loan to Bristol City? If not he is hardly likely to win you the league.

p.s. think I've been trolled re maynard. But i stand by what I said about his goalscoring prowess.

That new boy for forest Britt asombolonga looks a very good striker .
Then there is always Grant holt at Wigan , a different type of player to those mentioned but still very good

Macheda is certaintly finding his feet in the championship 10 goals in 18 games for Birmingham last season and 2 in 1 game for us so far a full season he will get 20 plus goals

Macheda and Guerra may well be up there aswell depending how they dot his season both have looked great so far.

Really rate Deeney+ Rhodes Cardiff point of view Jones great start Guerra looks a gem and Macheda 2 goals 1 game I honestly think over this season Macheda and Guerra are the main men.

Good list I think. Assombalonga used to be a hornet, we sold him to P'boro for 1.8m and 50% of his next transfer fee. His 5m move then netted us another £2.5m. Not bad for a player who only ever played four games for us.

Still his move to forest is now looking like an absolute steal. If he can keep scoring goals, then I would not be surprised to see him reach 20 goals this season.

Can't Argue with Watford boy,

We have 5 good strikers none of them are world beaters,

We need someone like Rhodes, Austin , mackormack, Murray (Palace) who will play every game and bang in 25+ goals

Have to agree, Rhodes and Deeney. We have plenty of quality, competition and potential so I am more than happy with our strike force but it's hard to put a case forward for any of our strikers just because I havent seen enough of them yet.

Ask me at the end of the season and one of our lot could definitely be in contention. I think it's Macheda's last chance to settle and prove himself, so I'd say watch this space. Him and ALF could cause defenders nightmares.

I would agree that Rhodes is probably the best striker in the division, followed by grabban/deeney.

Javi Guerra!

Good enough for the PL IMO. Wish we could have had him last season.

He's got everything, has a good record in Spains top flight and I fully expect him and Macheda to be our first picks up front when fully up to speed, early signs are promising.

Right now I'd say Rhodes. But potentially Macheda could be the best. Ask again after Christmas.

He is probably not basing it on that, but on 10 in 10 last year in a poor Brum team, pre season and last night, he will be right up there.

The only problem for our strikers, is that they have competition for places, so probably won't play as many games as Deeny and Rhodes who are tipped to be the best this season.....
