If the fans feel let down by Mackay think what others inside the club feel now that the truth is in the public domain, everyone will remember Steve Borley standing shoulder to shoulder with Mackay when they flew together for the game at Anfield against Liverpool when most expected that it would be Mackay's last game, there was even doubt if he would be the manager by the time the flight landed at John Lennon airport.
Earlier this year Mr Borley along with Alan Whitley accompanied Mackay to a fans event in Bridgend in a show of support for the sacked manager. So if you believe some of the fans should feel stupid, how do you think people like Mr Borley and others who were a lot closer to Mackay than any fan feel right now ?
