There's been loads of threads stating 'why do we are about the texts, it's banter etc....
I don't really think it's the racism and bigotry per say that's the issue in this case for me. That's not to say I think that Malky should have been a lot more professional than to send those texts, it's just I feel it's a let down in trust that I feel aggrieved about.
Tan wasn't to happy with Malkys transfer dealings and apparent unprofessional approach to his work with Iain moody, so he looks into it and all he'll broke loose, obviously a lid was kept on it at the time and the vast majority of fans backed Malky to the hilt.
Malky knew he wasn't squeaky clean and he didn't mind brushing all the aggro off the fans towards VT and reveling in our support for him.
That's the issue for me, assuming that's what happened of course!

If its true that MM's house was searched, & evidence found, plus all the evidence seized at Moodys gaff a couple of months ago, it begs a big question of "what next"??
I wouldn't be surprised if the two of them end up in court, sooner rather than later.

Rick I honestly believe we will see evidence of unauthorised payments to agents and unaccounted for payments etc very soon.

Its certainly looks like something along those lines, & as Carl posted yesterday, the Police are now involved, having searched Malky's house. This puts a whole new perspective on things now.

Another Political correct post, you will be wearing a red shirt with Tans face on it next......... All this Malky fiascos been taking out of context IMO........

Warren you know me personally mate, this is my honest opinion.

yes, not only the racism and bigotry, but that he tried to keep it under wraps and never accepted responsibility and faced up to the issues like a man.
from his point of view, he wanted to cover it up and hope that the whole thing would blow over. well unluckily for him and the spineless, cowardly LMA, it didnt, and he now has to face the consequences of what he did.

IF and it's only an IF...... If Malky is accused on financial wrong doing by the police will you then accept you were wrong and Tan was right?

People are too focused on the RACISM in this investigation into Malky for me, this is the part of the investigation that should be raising your eyebrow;
It isn’t just the messages that Mackay and Moody have to contend with. The pair are at the centre of allegations by Cardiff owner Vincent Tan that the club paid way over market value for eight players during their single ill-fated season in the Premier League. It has been claimed that one £600,000 transfer had an additional payment of £600,000 to an agent. I don’t need to tell you that commissions of 100% are something of a rarity in football.

thats seems to be the criminal part of the investigation. would it be illegal for a manager to sanction a 600k agent fee for a 600k transfer? surely the deal would have to be ratified by someone above mackay or moody in the pecking order?
if so, that would seem a case similar to clicking that you have read the T&C's, sign the deal, then complain about something you have technically agreed to, i.e. morally questionable but perfectly legal.

Your right of course, its seems fairly obvious now that in the early days Tan let Malky and Moody have free reign over the budgets, but latter Tan became an intergral part of the 'transfer committee' after Malky and his team let him down so very badly.

as i said on another thread, overspending and spending money unwisely is not actionable unless it was done maliciously with intent to rip off the owner.
vastly inflated fees to agents would only be actionable if the manager himself signed them off. i would assume that if someone above moody and malky did, then there is no case to answer.

When I read that 100% commission to an agent I was absolutely amazed and if that was the Campbell transfer to hit the club with the double whammy of a rediculous release clause and you have to question just what the hell were MM & IM doing. Little wonder VT lost faith in them and if it were one of us we would have been angry as well.
There are all sorts of questions still unanswered in this affair and I hope that eventually we get to know the truth. The racism and bigotry in these text messages have proved to be manna from heaven for VT because they have given him the ammunition to damage MM reputation, IF there is any wrongdoing in these transfers expect VT to carryout full on character assasination and the only one to blame will be MM. I for one will have no sympathy with him IF it proves to be the case.
One question I would like an answer to relates to the text message where MM alledgedly calls VT a "Chnk". That message was sent in early June last year about 1 month after the end of our promotion winning season, but it appears MM & VT weren't talking directly to each other, Why? What was wrong at that time because if I was MM I would have wanted to speak to him directly, why did MM feel he needed someone else to speak to VT?
There are plenty of legs left in this story yet and maybe the worst is yet to come, certainly for MM.

And so the plot takes another twist - obviously the police wouldn't be searching peoples' houses over a few dodgy text messages - there's a good deal more to this than first appears I reckon.
Gavin is right IMO - the media is focused on the texts when there may be a bigger issue rumbling under the surface...

Gavin is spot on.
The texts are being used to weaken the defence.

VT was itching to say what it was in that video but couldn't for legal reasons. He's been stitched up plain and simple and he's just been bideing his time to strike back!

The racist messages were just the starters. The main story will turn up in due time.

IMO I don't think he's wrong in the financial situation, I think it could come out hes innocent, Tan give the budget, all transfers went through Dalman to over see, I think Malky made good signings & some not so good, I think the Cornelius signing was always gonna be a highlighted one which I've stated tthere's a massive misconception about Cornelius......
