Gypo is also a racist term remember. However the difference is large. People know welsh people don't actually have sex with sheep, people know that Swansea fans aren't Romany Gypsies hence it can be seen as banter. However calling an Asian a "slanty eyed chink" (sic) is offensive to someones ethnicity and obvious appearance.
