WHAT A GOOD MOMENT FOR TAN TO.................

Fri Aug 22, 2014 12:50 pm

re-unify the fans and get them all on board again.

Malky will be picked apart over the next few months and even his most ardent backers amongst the City faithful will shrink their support for the man. Tan, despite all he has done for the club, remains the baddy. His worst decision, red, has split the support and made what should have been our loudest, proudest season just a poor memory. In 50 years of following the City, I can't think of a lower point season. Honestly.

ALL TAN HAS TO DO NOW IS SEIZE THE MOMENT AND CHANGE THE SHIRT BACK TO BLUE.

Issue an 'I told you so' message and 'I am not so bad really' type statement. To mark a watershed moment, 'I have decided to re-unite the club support and the 1st team will switch to playing in blue shirts'.

It's not about money, it's about reputation and ego.

Will one of his advisors please tell him.........!!!!

have the feeling that he well might but on the other hand it is quite possible that he gets advised otherwise or thinks to himself. ' well I was right about Malky, I was right about Moody, so I am right about colour.' I hope not.

Very stubborn man and also surrounded by yes men. Not a good combo!

He said "maybe" if we go up so we have to do one thing at a time. First thing, promotion which will be very difficult. :ayatollah:

Don't get me started, Red didn't do Liverpool any favours last year either, in fact the winners of the PL played in um... Blue!

I think you haven't read it properly.
The idea would be:
BLUE home.
RED away

The compromise to TAN is "yes, we agree RED is lucky, so let's use it where we need it ...AWAY from home!

I think you might be missing MY point.

Tan knows Red was divisive. Never normally a way backwards for him. But this offers him an opportunity to do so not in a 'OK you win' way, but in a 'I told you I was right and a good guy......but I will offer this to you all' sort of way.

No brainer............

I'm not sure if you are skilled in negotiating, but a few of the principles are the following:

1) set a goal
2) find common ground without forgetting goal
3) seek a "win-win" avoiding conflict and contradiction
4) get the result

1) GOAL = Blue
2) Common ground "OK RED is lucky, we believe you, so why not use it where it is needed most?"
3) Win -win Tan not contradicted on RED just restructure where we use it
4) Get the result BLUE for home kit

Now an empty stadium....well that will not happen neither will the return to blue he CANNOT LOSE FACE !! Doing a number on Malky shows he is a vindictive nasty piece of work

I agree, TAN is focused on his own goals, no doubt this drives his strategy.

But I imagine he would like:
1) A unified club
2) Success on the pitch
3) Not to lose face
4) A viable business

Maybe he would sacrifice the RED at home to get these?

Doesn't show him as vindictive...shows he is right.........unlike many who blindly backed MM.

And I think you are wrong regards giving a shit. People like Tan feed off the adulation of his minions. He has a gift of an opportunity to become hero worshiped without ever having to admit he was wrong.

Bollucks doing a number on Malky! The guy owns a business and the guy in charge was fkin the club over. Take the tinted specs off and admit that tan seems to have been right all along. If I was a CEO of a business and I was getting screwed by someone they would receive the same treatment.
Well done VT in my opinion for gathering the info and bit spilling it earlier

I have been told,Tan would like to compromise, but if he did,he feels he would look an embarrassment in China and Malaysia for going against the Red,he believes in so much.

We need to work on this,so that he does not lose face.

For me it will never feel the same until we are BLUE again :thumbright: :bluescarf:

We need our true identity back to unite our fans and feel proud once again :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I'm still not sure Tan was given the correct advice before the rebrand, Annis.

Not defending him though, I must stress that!

Ned, he 100% was not,3 people in the club backed by a Red leader, let him feel he was ok to do it and that 90% of CARDIFF fans were happy to do it, he was lied to.

But We were also blackmailed by the lies of Red or Dead, which was total bullshit.

Also our club was promised to be Debt Free within months, which Tan has not kept to his word.
Also the fans that backed him, also stated that they would be the first over the fence, to stand up to him,if he failed to this and that was suppose to happen January 2012

The truth is,threats, bullshit and lies have divided our fans.

So I will remain wanting our Blue back, but finally I am going to enjoy my football this season :thumbright: :bluescarf:

How would you feel about a part blue/part red shirt though if this is what he means by compromise? Red and blue stripes or hoops for example?

Re: WHAT A GOOD MOMENT FOR TAN TO.................

The only real compromise is with regards to the shirt is:
Blue home, Red Away....this way the "lucky red" is used where it is most useful - away games

As concerns the badge:
- would people be open to a Bluebird-Dragon mix, I saw one as an icon which looks pretty good.
- or bluebird on blue shirt, dragon on away shirt for Asian mkt.

I feel that is a little harsh. I know a few people who are boycotting until blue is reinstated. If this happens, they will return triumphantly. I don't agree with this but at least they are sticking to their principals.

The ones I have less respect for are the ones who didn't renew season tickets this year due to relegation. Fair weather friends as far as I'm concerned.

We are currently a red/blue club. Look at stadium exterior, seating. Also notice the background on the screens in the ground, 50/50 diagonal split between red and blue. Same for the generic electronic advertising. The vast majority want the blue to return as the home kit (me included). How do we do it - not really sure, but I am sure Tan needs to be persuaded/cajoled, and will not respond to abuse/bullying.
