Fabio & Brayford

Fabio - when we signed him, I thought it was a bad signing. Proved me wrong, as he is a class act. From when he signed to now, one of the most improved players at the club. Always keen to get forward, works hard an closes his wingers down - long may it continue.

Brayford - never given sniff but now he is showing why he was labelled best full back in the championship. Another fully committed 100% player.

Both to be fans favourites and proving the doubters (like me) wrong

Did you see Fabio at Man U? He had some really good games for them, his career was stalled by injuries. They are not better or worse players than 8-12 months ago. They have sustained a lengthy injury free period (Fabio) and given a run of games by a manager who believes in them (Brayford). Attacking full backs are very important in OGS philosophy, the two of them are playing in a system that suits them.

Agreed - long may it continue. :ayatollah:

I wish we'd started last season with both.

Malky wouldn't have used them, he didn't like attacking full backs.

It's rediculous that Malky left Brayford out last season, it would have gotten us a couple of extra points.

Theyre both top class. :thumbright: I'd really want to see another experienced full-back coming in before window closes, filling the gap from McNaughton and KTC.

Both have been excellent, I could tell from last season Fabio was a good player, my worry was his size for the championship but he has been top draw.

Brayford I had concerns mainly just because of the way Malky totally froze him out, I assumed he had a reason but watching him now I cant think of one. So impressed with him, shame we didnt have him fit and ready to go for Ole last season.

I must admit I was totally wrong with Fabio. We have the best 2 full backs in the league imo!

I still think he is a bit too weak defensively, but it's early days and I expect him to grow as the season goes on.

As for Brayford, I had hardly seen him play before this season and he just looks so energetic and positive. Links up well with the other players and has impressed me more than Fabio to be honest.

CCFC are blessed to have two such good full/wing-backs. Really a demanding position to play. Fingers crossed they both get a full season and stay clear of injuries.

Fabio is a bit impetuous and got caught out a couple of times diving in, but he'll full of energy and bounces straight back. He'll cost us a couple, but will more than make up for it going forward. I'd rather a brave player who commits than one who constantly backs off like Taylor and Caulker. Fabio will learn to bide his time a bit more in future as he's improving so quickly.
