' Trust release statement on Malky Mackay '

Trust statement following allegations made about comments by Cardiff City’s former manager Malky Mackay

In a statement today following media reports on comments allegedly made by Cardiff City’s former manager Malky Mackay, Tim Hartley, chair of Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust, said: “The Trust condemns without reservation any racist, homophobic and sexist comments whenever and wherever they are made.

“We have spoken out against issues like homophobic chanting at football matches and in 2013 issued a statement on the subject http://www.ccfctrust.org/?p=2875. We are also organising a Trust five-a-side football tournament in October involving ethnic minority and faith groups to celebrate friendship through football.

“We are not privilege to the details of the dossier concerning alleged comments made by our former manager Malky Mackay. The Football Association has been sent documents by the club and we await the outcome of any investigation. It would be wrong of us to speculate further at this stage without any detailed information being made available.”

So the trust are not prepared to act on the revelations in removing Malky from a purely figurehead position, whilst Crystal Palace thought enough if the dossier to refuse to employ him, and the Daily Mail are so certain of the truth that they are prepared to publish details.

If anything it is this statement that brings embarrassment t and dishonour to the club.

Pathetic.

I find it interesting that the Trust wants the details of the allegations against MM before making a firm statement on this whole affair. In thier statement they say "It would be wrong of us to speculate further at this stage without any detailed information being made available.”

That didn't apply in October last year mind you when again the Trust were lacking detailed information on the breakdown in the relationship between VT and MM. However back then they had no problem "Speculating" on the right and wrongs and thier statement said;

Responding to Malky Mackay’s Press conference today, Tim Hartley, chair of Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust said: “We are grateful to Malky Mackay for apologising to fans for the debacle caused by the Iain Moody affair. But we don’t believe the manager himself has anything to apologise for. It is the club and its senior management who should be saying sorry.

This episode has damaged the reputation of Cardiff City.

Well Tim do you still think today that MM has nothing to apologise for ? And does the Trust still think the club and senior management A.K.A. Vincent Tan should be saying sorry.

Humble pie time Tim so get on with it.

The trust have been a joke from the start , only in it for their own personnel gain IMO .
Ccsc are exactly the same , these groups need leaders who are hard talking and have the bollocks to make decisions and do something about things the people they supposedly represent are not happy with not hide behind silly statements taking the easy way out all the time .
