Two players providing information

Thu Aug 21, 2014 11:10 am

According to the Daily Mail report ( and although there is no absolute proof it would appear to be fairly accurate in light of subsequent developments) there were two players at the club providing sensitive information to Moody about the club.

I'm not sure if these players are still at the club but if that is correct, surely those players were in serious breach of their contracts and deserve/ deserved to be sacked immediately.

They probably provided the information under some misguided feeling of duty to Moody or Malky.

I'll ask the question although i don't really expect an answer - do we know who it was? I assume the club know and have either sold the player or disciplined them internally but it shows that Ole may have been battling not only external difficulties last season but also a lack of full support from inside the dressing room.

I want the Vermin named and shamed.

Taylor was one of them IMO.

Apparently Ole said that some players weren't listening to his tactics and Taylor barely featured under Ole. Not to mention Taylor has followed Malky everywhere.

Smith? Lappin?

Tailor was on one of the images on dailymail with this note: "Sportsmail understands two Cardiff players colluded with Moody when Cardiff played Crystal Palace"

Didn't one of the text messages regarding that palace game get sent to Dougie Freedman at Bolton W? I recall that he reported it to our club??

If I remember correctly Gunnerson was named at the time as involved with this? As for the Spygate info, I thought the club sacked a member of the low level coaching staff for that?

Zaha was one of them imo.

Apparently Ole said that some players weren't listening to his tactics and Zaha made no effort to play or do what was expected of him under Ole.
Eikrem another? Against Hull gave away the first goal and refused to tackle any Hull players during the game.

Of course like you I have no evidence of this but I can still start a rumour.

This witch hunt is getting out of hand, based on rumours and mud slinging.

Gunnarsson was named, but Ole and the club outright said they supported him and knew it wasn't him. If I remember right, the text was sent from his phone, which now suggests someone used his phone without his knowledge?

My personal money would go on Taylor being one party involved. The guy was quietly sold, and taken out of the team towards the end of last season.

You have to respect the club for not naming them, as it happens. Very professional of them, even if we as fans want to know who the players were.

I don't think it's fair or respectful at all to speculate on who the players might be when we don't know at all.

Where am I STARTING a rumour, I question, I don't base it on facts.

I accept that, but by naming people without any proof, at such a volatile time, with accusations flying about it will not be long before others pick up on it (especially the media) and that rumour will become fact.

With Zaha's performance (and history with Palace) he is the most likely target for any wrongdoing. But there is no evidence against him or Taylor so their names should be kept out of it.
