' Palace - Darkest time '

Sky Sports saying that Palace are claiming this is the darkest time in the clubs history! What has Moody done during his time there and are City going to be successful in their claim for damages or possibly realizing how stupid they have been letting Pulis go having backed Moody

I feel sorry for them in many ways, as none of this has been their doing - it's all on Moody and co.

Their biggest mistake was buying into pro-Malky and Moody spin that the media and fans put out there when Tan removed Moody.

Oh well. Could give two shits about them at the end of the day.

Parish must have known though. According to the papers didn't Police raid Palaces's training ground in March.
You're right though, it seems Palace have taken our mantle for joke club of the Prem, and I do feel a bit sorry for their fans on that score.

I think funnily enough, City are coming out of this quite well in the press. All the leaks and spin by Moody are coming home to roost.

Yeah I heard that comment and laughed at I'm sure during the times of the multiple administrations would have been far darker

Now Moody has gone, I think we would do well to drop the case against Palarse and move on now. The person responsible at the club has paid, and let's throw them a bone.

I disagree, I think the club should take it as far as they can.

We had to make a stand, but ultimately it was moody responsible, and he has had the bullet. I don't know how much the effort will get us. It would also be a 'sporting' gesture that may improve our image. I may have gone soft.

Hardly our darkest hour

4 years ago we were a few hours away from going out of business,

We'll appoint a new manager in the next week and sign a few players, we still have a pot of money waiting to be spent.

Its not our best hour but as a club palace have been through thinks like this all the time, we are used to it.

Abject performance compounds a miserable week for the Selhurst Park club...

Crystal Palace don't seem to enjoy serenity at the start of the Premier League season. Their debut campaign started with a lengthy losing streak, brought on by a shopping spree of Kardashian proportions, and the eventual departure of Ian Holloway.

The appointment of Tony Pulis, however long winded, played a huge part in the astonishing survival bid they lodged in the latter stages of the season, however the former Stoke boss walked away from the club days before the start of the current campaign.

Now, the Eagles find themselves unwittingly embroiled in the Malky Mackay saga, and can't find a new man to take the reins again.

Their bad week was compounded by a frustrating performance at home to West Ham, and an all too familiar sight will greet fans brave enough to look at the table.

Pointless after two games, there's a familiar feel to the campaign for the Selhurst Park club, only with the obvious lack of quality manager waiting to get back into football and save them.

After the 3-1 Hammers loss, Keith Millen's men sit at 13/8 in the relegation betting with Ladbrokes, a price that makes them third-favourites for the drop this season.

Unless a new manager can be found quickly, former Celtic boss Neil Lennon is the 7/4 favourite to get the gig, then it's difficult to imagine another dramatic escape route being plotted by the London club.

Strengthening the squad before the end of the transfer window is a must for Palace, but without a manager (or Sporting Director for that matter) to pinpoint new recruits, Steve Parish's plight as co-chairman grows increasingly sorry.

Correct! Both Moody and Malky felt they had that aire of invincibility! That should come back to bite them. And in addition to this..... Palarse r vermin! :P
