Several top agents and lawyers are also named in the document while it is understood that Tan has refused to pay commission to agents on almost all of the deals done under Mackay’s reign.

Mirror Sport also understands Moody is now set to resign from his post after lengthy discussions with co-chairman Steve Parish. :o

Malky Mackay's Crystal Palace offer withdrawn after Vincent Tan sends dossier of alleged misconduct to FA
Aug 20, 2014 20:41 By John Cross

The Eagles were on the verge of appointing the former Cardiff boss as their new manager, but have performed a dramatic U-turn

Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has taken the ultimate revenge on Malky Mackay.

Crystal Palace yesterday did a dramatic U-turn and withdrew their job offer to former Cardiff boss Mackay.

It came after Cardiff submitted a dossier to the Football Association questioning Mackay’s conduct during his reign at the Welsh club.

Mirror Sport understands the dossier also names Palace director of football Iain Moody who worked with Mackay at Cardiff.

Several top agents and lawyers are also named in the document while it is understood that Tan has refused to pay commission to agents on almost all of the deals done under Mackay’s reign.

Cardiff have questioned the level of fees, commission and role of agents in several deals during Mackay’s two years at the club, which the team won promotion to the top flight for the first time since 1962.

Cardiff are also set to pursue legal action against Palace and Moody in the “Spygate” case.

Palace were fined £10,000 by the Premier League last week after it was alleged that Moody got the Cardiff line-up before they played his former club last season in a vital relegation match.

The dossier and allegations appear to have persuaded Palace co-chairman Steve Parish to put on hold the appointment of a new boss.

2013 Getty ImagesFall out: Tan sacked Mackay last December
Mackay, who has strenuously denied any wrongdoing, had been offered a three year contract and a way back into football following his sacking by Cardiff last December.

In the bitter fall-out from his sacking Mackay launched a £7.5million legal claim against the club.

But he dropped his claim and reached a settlement with Malaysian tycoon Tan, with the Scots boss making a statement apologising “without reservation” for any offence he may have caused.

Parish was expecting to appoint Mackay as Tony Pulis’s successor after last season’s manager of the year left the club just 48 hours before the big kick off in a row over the direction of the club.

Palace are now looking at other targets and may turn back to Tim Sherwood. The former Tottenham boss is the bookies’ favourite to land the vacancy.

Mirror Sport contacted the Football Association, lawyers for Cardiff and Tan’s representatives for comment and understand the Football Association have received the dossier.

The FA said last night: “We have no comment to make.”

It is understood that the FA are now likely to have to investigate the claims put forward in the documents presented by Cardiff.

Mirror Sport also understands Moody is now set to resign from his post after lengthy discussions with co-chairman Steve Parish.

Oh my. This doesn´t look pretty.

Surely if the paperwork was all signed with then deals were finalised then the club is still liable to pay the agents fees no matter what Tan thinks.

So why aren't the Agents suing the Club for their money?

Maybe Tan has evidence of wrongdoing, agents over inflating the prices and giving Malky a backhander upon receipt of their commission?

I believe that Malky has been caught in the crossfire and his only true sin was to 'support' Moody against the boss (Tan) in some kind of (now apparently mis-placed) loyalty to a friend...

Whether I'm right or wrong, it seems the truth will out very soon ;)

Sven

If that was the case then surely Malky would have sussed that out in the aftermath of his sacking and the consequences of the apology ? And therefore he would never even looked at Palace knowing that Moody is there ?

Blimey O'reilly.

Tan playing hardball. There must be some pretty compelling stuff in that dossier to get Malky sacked before he's been employed and Moody with his foot through the exit door.

Watch this space I guess. :?:

Very much doubt it as 'suspecting' would never stand up in a court of law

Be interesting to see what's in that dossier. With Malky's reputation damaged as a result of Tan's actions, and now losing out on a job after involvement from Tan, you would think that if Malky was innocent he would at the very least be taking Tan to court for compensation due to loss of potential earnings. Instead, all he has done to date is issue a very public apology to Tan. It is beginning to look as if Malky may have a lot of questions to answer, and even Malky supporters (I was one) must now realise that he may not have been the unfortunate victim of this ongoing saga.

His racist comments if proven will have done the damage.

I've got a feeling the truth won't come out. Well the whole truth that is.

Enough will come out, if its out already, to discredit M&M but I believe certain evidence won't. That is if it is there at all.

The racist comments will finish Malky off. As far as proving he had his hand in the till I just can't see that going public if he did.
