Looks a totally different player for Celtic. Good going forward and holds it up well. Looks hungry for the ball. Also sporting a John Brayford hair style. Did he go out on loan or sold??

Loan with a buy option I believe, but yes, he's been a real handful today in the Europa League. Heavily influenced the Celtic goal.

Would he get ahead of Our current strikers?
Funny though how Jones and him were written off as poor signings but both looking positive players.
And funny how the best player Malky signed is only playing under Ole and looking top quality.

He's primarily an attacking midfielder and winger, he's not a natural striker, but I still think he's better than Maynard.
Berget fits better in to Celtic's system though. Solskjær has too many strikers to not use two in every match, and that means Berget would compete only with Dæhli/ Noone/ Pilky/ Burgs, the prospect for the amount of football he needs is nonexistent, so the loan was the right thing to do.

Agree it's right to send him out, but he was written off as useless

That's nothing to go by, if you listened to 90% of the opinions here, the two thirds of the squad who aren't on the pitch that exact moment are all useless. It's like a collective alzheimers

Berget has a lot of the same qualities as Burgstaller, IMO, and could be used wide both in a classical 442 and in a diamond. Obviously Ole wouldn´t have brought him here if he didn´t have a clear thought on how to employ him.
And btw, the match today was not Europa League, but the first leg of the play-off to CL. With a draw 1-1 away, and a Celtic team looking a lot better than Maribor, there´s a great chance Berget will be playing Champions League this season. I hope the prize was not agreed on before he left, but I don´t really know how his option-to-buy-thing-works. Anyone?

The other Norwegian at Celtic, johanson, looks better.

Agree. I was not that impressed by Berget today, to be honest. He did alright, but nothing more.
