' UPDATE ON TICKETS AND LATEST FROM CCFC '

Wed Aug 20, 2014 7:45 pm

Due to work commitments I couldn't make it to tonight's travel group meeting at the club but spoke to Simon Chivers before the meeting to put forward my view over the unnecessary (in my opinion) RVP for Wolves.

A way from the phone call I was told that we have sold approximately 1,500 for Wolves.

Also we are around 1,800 sold for Fulham and there is an allocation of 2,900.

There is also plans to introduce a warning system for fans who misbehave or are unruly at games (evidence shows usually drink related), basically if you are drunk at a game an acting a bit of a nob you will get a warning from our police.

If there is second incident then you may get a short term ban from attending games ( maybe 5 games).

If there is a third incident then civil ban will be the course of action.

This is not decided as a course of action but a possibility, personally I think it is a workable solution to a small problem that we have and no doubt other clubs face too.

It would give everyone the chance to think about their behaviour at football and not punish people with a civil ban on first incident for being drunk and acting a goon at a football match, I have been that soldier before and I suppose there are many of us of who found ourselves a little worse for wear in years gone by.

What do fans think about this idea ?

Do you think it could work and is it a long term solution ?

Yes briliant idea if its only being a pratt while drunk a warning then short ban should be sufficient! If doesnt have desired effect deserve to get banned lot longer. :old:

It sounds like a very reasonable approach and should be given a go.

I said the same, it is a reasonable approach and it will probably start after the International break and the Derby game will be the first, should it be given the green light.

Sensible approach. A warning is usually enough for most people who get slightly over exuberant after a few sherbets. Short term ban is a fair way of punishing those that don't listen. Anyone who can't behave after a warning and short term ban deserves a lengthy ban.

Am I right in assuming that this idea is for home games and that the Police would ask the club to suspend
someones season ticket for example and hope they agree?

They cant do it for away games, it would be completely unenforceable as they have no jurisdiction
to hand out bans and are there to serve and protect, all they could do is warn you a few times and possibly built
up evidence against you which could lead to a civil ban but a 'short term' '5 game' ban could never happen as
they don't have the jurisdiction to issue it.

This is for home and away games.

SWP will work with forces at away games to hand out warnings rather than arrests.

SWP would also use this warning system on away fans attending CCS.

Chivers gave me a warning for looking towards opposition fans last season, so as much as it sounds fair enough, it probably won't be
