The Thick of It/Doctor Who

Wed Aug 20, 2014 2:27 pm

Just started watching this on Netflix.

Mainly because I wanted to check out what sort of actor Capaldi is ahead of Doctor Who this weekend.

Don't think he'll play the same sort of character

What are people's thoughts on the show and how do you think he'll do as the Doctor?

Can't work out if it's really funny or really wrong

My thoughts are Doctor Who is complete shite to be honest.
Absolute bunk.

Fair enough, most people I speak to like it or think it's shit.

The Thick Of It is a great comedy and I did the same thing. I think Doctor Who will go down a new dark route but will win back the older generation fans. My fave Doctor will always be Matt though. :ayatollah:

i cant seem to watch doctor who no more, since the 50th annaversary special let down. throughout matt smith, dave tennant's doctors they always said they cant go back into their own timeline because it could destroy the world, they cannot change past events either because it will alter the time line.......... in the 50th special, they save their world, which would ultimatly change EVERYTHING they have done, and all the doctors where in 1 place together...... they brought rose back to speak to john hurt, and no "tennant - rose" scene, it felt like a huge let down for me :\

Tennant and Tom Baker are easily the best two :ayatollah:
