Due to work commitments i finally took in my first home game of season was in Canton 104 where I've previously sat week in week out for last 5 years and I have to say the first half last night was like watching a different team. The silence was so deafening I could make out individual voices from other stands. Not even one song really got going. Was shameful.. It was like a development game.
Sat with friends in grandstand second half was a bit better and I enjoyed seeing all the usual crowd in mavericks...

The atmosphere from kick off was good, but died out after 5 mins (I'm also in 104) some songs were sung throughout the game, but yes, most of the first half was very quiet.
The noise picked up when we scored, but died out again after another 5 mins.
I don't know if it's the death of hooliganism, the lack of older fans who refused to return after the rebrand, the increase in families attending games - but the atmosphere has got worse and worse year by year, and the new stand won't help

Felt like a modern day Chapel.
And the protest I thought.....sadly looked pretty pathetic.

the facts don't lie
you can not create an atmosphere while sitting on your butt
the super cup proves our stadium can rock
but the Seville fans stood throughout the game as did the Madrid fans
ive noticed that those that were standing in the nin ian stand now sit down (by the away fans) whats happened have the club quietly warned them off ??? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Bring back terraces where you can stand by your mates or groups of single lads. I wad a regular on the bob bank terrace and still miss it. All seater stadiums kill atmosphere.

It's like the English disease chapter 2, but this time it's dull sterile atmospheres in complete contrast to grounds in Europe.
You can see it clearly in the premier league, as we did last season, now it's spread to the championship too. Part of the appeal for many was the noise and atmosphere, now there isn't any so another nail in the coffin. Sevilla fans only highlighted our problem even more.
