Wigan manager Uwe Rosler felt the Latics failed to get what they deserved and admitted he was still in the market for a new striker before the transfer window closes on September 1.
"I would have been devastated with a point," Rosler said.
"You think there will be more teams who dominate here like today? I don't think so.
"We were dominant for 90 minutes apart from putting the ball in the net.
"Cardiff were passive and I thought we were very good apart from the final third."

They have one point, he will need to start making excuses and try and make out they are unlucky to be where they are....

Not a great attacking game for either side, but one shot on targel from them, tells the story....

They dominated from the 70th to the 85th minute, and that was only because we started playing too deep. He's on crack.

Goals win games. We scored they didn't.

Uwe Rosler says Latics must improve in the final third after dominant performance at Cardiff.
In open play I thought we were very good, apart from the final third."
Uwe Rosler
‘We must get better in the final third.’
‘Jones was always going to be a threat.’
‘We’re improving our performances game-by-game.’
Speaking immediately after Latics’ 1-0 defeat away to Cardiff City in the Sky Bet Championship, Uwe Rosler gave his reflection of the game, stressing how important it is to improve in the final third.

He sounds like a man fearing the sack. Andrew Taylor as a wingback

He should have stayed at Brentford!

No offence but watching the game tonight they did basically have the majority of the ball.
They controlled the game for long periods.
They just couldn't really test Marshall.
I do believe to say they deserved 3 points is hilarious because they didn't create jack s**t with it to even warrant a goal. I do feel they did control a lot of the game for possession though.

Hes right we should be dominating at home.
you watch 95% of the time the top 7 in the premiership Dominate their home games!
Even against good sides they often create more chances.
Theres something wrong when your getting turned over at home in terms of pressure. if your as good as we should be

Need I point out the obvious, then?

I was expecting a real backs to the wall job in the last 15 minutes, but in truth we were rarely troubled. Rosler is talking out of his arse. I thought Huddersfield caused us more problems than Wigan.

Id like to hear from the posters who claimed Rosler is a better manager than Ole last season…

Ahhhh, the bitter sounds and excuses of a manager who knows he is on a slippery slope. He made a very enthusiastic ball-bot though.

......should have read 'ball-boy'. Ahem.

Didn't hear him once say "Well we were completely dominated in that game" when he won 2-1 against us in the cup last February.
We had 64% of possession that day and over 20 attempts on goal but hey ho we didn't defend that day whilst at times Wigan had a "Charmed Goal". But that's football you can't win without scoring.
Rosler would do well to consider why his team only had 1 effort on target last night, exactly the same as thier away defeat at Charlton. Having possession mainly playing the ball around in front of our players isn't that impressive, on the odd occasions they did get behind us our back 4 snuffed them out.
Wigan have Blackpool at home the weekend and he had better win that or he may well find a taxi waiting outside the stadium for him.
Fully deserved victory for Cardiff Mr Rosler learn to live with it.

Even brings up how much we spent as a reason for how we won doesn't he know that we lost some of our best players and not spent anywhere near what we brought in through player sales

Yeah its a bullshit excuse and Rosler is not good in the transfer market. Wigan fans been moaning about how he can't get good players in.

1 shot on target, think Uwe forgets what this game is about

Amazing how he uses that excuse but when he beats Man City in the FA Cup, there's no mention of their finances?
