I think there will be a big domestic match up between Kell Brook and Amir Khan now at a big venue. Would be a good fight.

Watched the fight back without jim whites commentary clouding my judgment. Think kell had it by a round porter never landed alot but was like a bull in a china shop.

British judge gave a draw so i thought there's no way be get the verdict from the 2 american judges. No idea how one gave it to Brooke 117-111.

I thought at best Brooke gave a good account of bimself 2nd half of fight but didn't do enough to win.

You can see from his reaction, plus his corner and promoter that they didn't think he'd done enough either.

To be fair to the OP if your going to watch highlights or a re run of a match without knowing the result then logging onto a forum or something like Facebook before the end is never a good idea

Either way, if you wanted to know the result so badly why not watch the fight?

Dont listen to what they say on the tv, watch it again and youll see brook was alot better than you first realise.

The stats came out that Brook actually landed more punches than porter, and was about 11% better conversion rate of punches thrown to punches landed.

I don't listen to Tv.....I've seen a lot of Boxing in my time mate and for me he didn't do enough to take the title.

Have to agree with Stevee here. I took a quick look on here early Sunday morning to see if there had been any city news in the Sunday papers but I saw the title of this thread before I watched the fight so it have the result away.

To the fella who suggested this forum and social media should have been avoided... Fair comment re social media as you wouldn't get any warning there and the result is given away instantly so I avoided twitter and Facebook but on a Cardiff football forum even if there was a thread on the fight I would have expected it to be titled "Kell Brook fight" or something similar. Just be more careful in future as it did annoy me and obviously I'm not the only one.

Anyway, rant over and like the OP said no idea how the American judges scored 117-111 and 116-112 when Dave Parris scored it a draw!! Bonkers scorecards. Last half of the fight Kells work was clean and crisp. Fair play to Kell's cut man for sorting that cut out in the 2nd. Great performance from Kell. Well done lad!

i watched the fight Sunday Morning and the first thing i thought was dont go on the message board before watching the fight.....simple really.

The post was Made on the back of the fight.
I had stayed up and watched the under cards and main event.

If people had really wanted to watch the fight they would've watched it.
What would've happened if you had just walked into living room and the TV was on talking about the result or same with radio? Would you complain to them?

Got no problem with the fight discussion just take a bit more care with the title.

Doesn't matter now, fight has been and gone. Enjoyed the fight a lot, looking forward to his next fight now, he's definitely world class.

Yeah dave parris shocked me aswell, close rounds you can kinda understand why a draw could of happened but throwing bunches of punches wild landing on brooks back and shoulders don't count but there's a myth in boxing that walking down and high work rate wins you rounds even if you don't even land on the target, that's side boxing does my head in, boxing is hit and don't get hit imo, jim watt been worst for years picking boxers before hand to win and sticking by them no matter what during the fight, dave parris normally good judge though
