Still a good turnout. Grandstand couldn't have even been half full though.

When I was in the ground I said about just under 21k, not a bad guess considering I couldnt even see the people in the new stand  many in it?

I was shocked at that figure too, I was aware that the club had said that we would see a huge attendance?

They really should have kept it closed and filled the rest of the ground.

Also the barebricks in the section behind the Ninian Stand look awful, I hope its not finished.

Steward who came up at the end of the game in the lower Ninan to stop people hoping over the wall said that they will be knocking it down soon.

well done to the fans that went to the game today :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Re: 20,749

The New stand has absolutely killed the atmosphere, large gaps between the raised roof and usual roof which makes it very windy which is carrying away any sort of noise and has diluted the main stands where people would usually be sat. The attendance didn't help either. The 19:27 protest was disappointing due to the wind and 1/3 empty Canton Stand. At least most of the Premiership plastics have buggered off! Hopefully when we're back into the swing of the championship the stadium might perk up a bit. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Why is everyone moaning, we would not fill 33,500 in the prem.the atmosphere is down to the fans nil the stadium lay out.look at seville...no comparison. We are cardiff not real madrid...
Just look at some of the f*cking fraggles in the canton stand, young hard boys giving it billy big ones, clueless about footy and abusing every one.
Im going to rugby f**k it....x

Totally disagree did you hear the noise at the super cup???

Re: 20,749

Poor turnout, especially for the first home of the season. Not surprised in a way with all the glory supporters pissing off.

If we're in the top 2 at Christmas we should be getting at least 24,000 in my opinion.

Mate the dreadful atmosphere has nothing to do with the wind or the acoustics, both frail excuses. It's to do with how wet our fan base has become

What a load of shit I was Sat in the canton and the atmosphere seemed gd from where I was Sat,some of our fans rather moan about bullshit, should change this forum name to the Cardiff city moaning board, like a bunch of old women on a period fs get a grip ppl

Re: 20,749

i thought the attendance was very good yesterday you can't compare the crowds in the premier to the championship but more to what the crowds were the last time we were in this league and i think it's about the same or maybe a little bit more than the last time we played huddersfield on the opening home league game but i must admit the atomsphere was terrible yesterday

Re: 20,749

No way was it 21.000 IMO. We have sold 17.000 season tickets so that is counted straight away. I do honestly think it was about 18.000 tops.
