All this Tan out

Fri Aug 15, 2014 9:31 pm

Christ all the troubles in the world and were still going on about Tan out. Look at the moment were lucky to have him
If Tan didn't step in we'd be fucked
I don't like the red never will but I'd rather have red than some Israely or Russian bomb landing on my f*cking head
I'd also rather have red than the Ebola virus
I'd also rather have red than any cancer
I'd also rather have red with my family and friends around me
Christ we have one life all the protests in the world are not going to change his mind, just don't show support by not buying into the red.
Do you realise how lucky you people are?

I just think we are very unlucky. What other club attracts a billionaire who makes us a laughing stock.

The only ones who are laughing stocks are fans like you who moan all the time about a change of shirt colour ,how about you get behind the team remember it's about wining football matches or have you forgot that ?

I know mate! People got way to much time on their hands! I take my boys to the footy to enjoy the match and spend time with them after a hard week in work! So much going on in the world and these bafoons think its the end of the world because of the kit change! It's not great but I'm not going to stress myself out over it! I think they actually enjoy the "look at me all high and mighty!" After all the pain and suffering in the world people should be grateful!

It's amazing to think that if we still played our home games in blue Vincent Tan would a god amongst owners.

Pending him leaving us in a decent state when he goes, I will be quite thankful for his tenure. He has done a lot for the club.

Just a pity he's a superstitious pillock.

Would I rather have Tan than be like Portsmouth, Blackpool or Coventry. I probably would.

Yes, everyone was laughing at us when we won the Championship (with Tan's money)
Everyone was laughing at us when we took LIverpool to the limit at Wembley (with Tan's money)
Everyone was laughing at us when we were playing in the PL (with Tan's money)
Everyone was laughing at us when out red-seated stadium was on tellies around the world the other day (with Tan's money)
Everyone is laughing at us now that we're the favourite to win the Championship (with Tan's money)

we are so damn unlucky, Tan has ruined our club, why can't we attract a billionaire who doesn't make us a laughing stock, like the Venkys or Assem Allam or Gaydamak ??

We have been a laughing stock in one way or another for the majority of the 43 years i have followed the club, owners who had no money but talked a good game, owners who were only interested in how much they could take out of our club by selling our best players and owners who thought we could be as big as Barcelona, having the Motherwell chairman live on sky telling the world that we still haven't paid up for one of their players and having a chairman who told us all to renew our season tickets early and all the income would go towards new players, having our third high court writ served on us by the HMRC recommending to the courts that they close us down, now that to me is being a laughing stock. Since tan has been here we have not been anywhere near a high court, we have a new extension on a ground which we can all be proud of, brand new state of the art training facilities just waiting for the go ahead, we have been back to the big boys league (first time in 51 years) and over the last three years seen the best squads ever assembled at this club, some laughing stock that!!!!

Really? Yes the taxman leaves us alone but how much debt are we in now? Thought we were promised this was going to be turned into equity. People are laughing at us. Yes we have a new extension, was that not part of the deal we play in red? Besides so what about it, its a symbol of the rebrand. Why can't people like you see what this Tan guys is trying to do. He is creating a club in his own image and taking away what we are. Fair enough if that is what you want you carry on supporting him. Me, until I think it is a loss cause I'll carry on doing what I can to get the club we all use to know back.

First, that's irrelevant to the question 'who's laughing at us'. Second, the debt we have now is manageable and non-toxic, which is why the taxman leaves us alone in the first place.

Bakedalasker wrote: Thought we were promised this was going to be turned into equity.

No, actually we weren't. But even if we were, this will happen when the time is right for Tan, not when you want it.

If he was doing that we'd be called Cardiff Dragons and play 100 miles away. Just ask Hull and Coventry. The only thing he took away was the colour of our jerseys. To me CCFC is more than just a colour. I find it insulting to my club when people say the colour blue is our 'identity'. CCFC is bigger than any colour and I'll support us whether we play in blue, red or pink. So should you if you can get rid of your blinkers and get some perspective.

Don't think we are a laughing stock. I think a lot of supporters around the country would like to have the sort of money that we are presently throwing around. There are probably a few people who sympathise with us as far as the shirt colour is concerned, but generally, most supporters of other teams don't give a hoot about us or our shirt colours.

He's trying to build a successful and sustainable club. What's wrong with that?

He is trying to make a profit out of us. Sustainable yeah right all for the sake of the club.....

Of course he's not doing for the sake of the club, don't be naive. A sustainable and profitable club will be good for him but also good for the club. Everybody wins.

If Tan could he would change our name but he can't because its against the rules...ask Hull... He can't upstick us and play 100 miles away because it is against the rules. The Coventry situation is a temporary measure.

Oh, you can read minds now? How many times did Tan try to change our name? None! He actually stated publicly that he won't. And nothing stopped Wimbledon from being renamed and playing 100 miles away.

Bakedalasker wrote: The colour blue is central to our identity like it or not.

Dozens of teams in the football league play in 'our' colour. Only ONE is called CCFC and play in Cardiff. Enough said.

What a stupid outlook on life, my missus has been cheating on me you say? Ah that's ok, carry on love, at least I haven't got cancer.

Red pisses me off, I want Tan out and will continue say so thank you.

First, that's irrelevant to the question 'who's laughing at us'. Second, the debt we have now is manageable and non-toxic, which is why the taxman leaves us alone in the first place.

Right, nothing to do with the fact the taxman is actually getting paid now?

Exactly, that's my point, thank you! This is the difference between a toxic and a manageable debt: with a manageable debt the creditors get paid!

No, actually we weren't. But even if we were, this will happen when the time is right for Tan, not when you want it.

Rubbish, that was always part of the plan. To say otherwise is just making excuses.

SHOW ME where it became 'part of the plan'. And if it was, SHOW ME when it says that it has to happen within x number of years

Open your eyes. If you think no one is laughing at us you are deaf and blind.

So your saying it crossed Tan mind about changing our name. He went on the box at Hull saying he was thinking about it.

Regarding Wimbledon there was nothing in the rules then but there is now after what happened to them.

Dozens play in our colour.....now our talking crap.

what's the alternative to tan atm ? Dont see many billionaires lining up to buy us or you going to have a whip around down the pub once we've folded ?

When you going to understand Wez. We don't need a wip round. Tan has thrown his money at us and he has failed so far to get what he wants. He has got no choice but to continue unless he wants to waste everything.
