We’ve got to play so much better than we did against Blackburn, especially with the ball.
The determination and attitude was great but that only takes you so far. I wasn’t happy with the distribution and passing.
I was delighted on Wednesday night, the players were hungry for the ball. A couple of those players really did make me think about Saturday.
I’ve decided that a few of them did well enough to play.

We started very well against Blackburn up until Whitts lost the ball for their goal. From then we seemed to panic & just hoof it at every opportunity.
Maybe theres still a bit of a hangover from last season and will take a couple of games to get the belief and confidence back.

Very true - just like winning becomes a habit, being constantly on the backfoot and losing a lot of games is bound to effect the player's freedom of expression even when they know they are technically the better side. I'm sure with a few good results this will turn and we will see the team start to play with some real panache.

I didn't see any more desire, I just saw us playing a very inferior team compared to Blackburn, who let us play the ball around at our leisure. I hope OGS is not believing his own spin, other wise he will fall into the trap of complacency and before you know it we are struggling

Played crap football under Malky and went up as champions with ease.

Interesting to see. Eikrem in for Whitts and Burgstaller on the wing?
