Cardiff City fans were surprised to see the name of Jazzi Barnum-Bobb on the Bluebirds team-sheet at Coventry last night. So, just who is he?

Who is he?
Jazzi Barnum-Bobb
Born in Enfield in London, 18-years-old.
Not just a pretty face (and brilliant name) ...
Barnum-Bobb is arguably one of the most intelligent footballers you will ever come across in terms of academic achievement.
He attended the highly-rated Harefield Academy in Uxbridge for four years and achieved some of the highest grades at the school with 11 A star passes, including maths and English, plus three B grades.
During 2009, Jazzi was Harefield Academy’s subject champion in French.
How did he end up in Cardiff?
Released by Watford last season after two years as a scholar, he was snapped up Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Cardiff City in January on a one-year junior professional contract. He has been playing for the Bluebirds’ under-21 development team.
Former Cardiff City centre-half David Hughes is Academy coach at Watford and worked with Barnum-Bobb, saying: “Jazzi has a great attitude, great mentality and loads of ability.
“He is showing what can happen if you keep believing and I would love to see him make further progress.
What they're saying about his debut?
Jazzi’s sister, Calypso, was ‘bursting with pride’ that her younger brother was making his Bluebirds’ debut, tweeting: “Unbelievably proud of my little bro making his debut. You have dedicated yourself every day since you were nine-years-old.”
Solskjaer’s verdict on Barnum-Bobb’s Bluebirds’ debut was: “He was excellent. Jazzi is a young kid we signed last season. He has the physique and a good engine to play at full-back. He is an exciting prospect.”
Jazzi’s own thoughts were: “Today was a special day that I will never forget...”

How's he been doing with the development team?
He has been a regular for Nilton Terroso’s Cardiff City development team this season, playing against FK Sarajevo in Bosnia and Ferreiras in Portugal during pre-season. Jazzi went on from the bench against Chasetown and looks likely to start in the opening Development League match at Leeds United next Monday.
The first home match for Terroso’s team is against Queens Park Rangers at Cardiff City Stadium on Monday, August 25 (7pm).
The attack-minded full-back looked certain to make the grade at Watford and it was a shock to Academy coaches when he was released after two years as a scholar. Jazzi loves to attack, is composed in possession and is working to improve the defensive part of his game. He is rated a promising prospect by Solskjaer’s backroom staff.
How did he rate against Coventry
Here's how Terry Phillips rated him in his post-match marks...
Jazzi Barnum-Bobb - 6: Debut for teenage right-back. Overcame a couple of minor errors, grew in confidence, looked comfortable in possession and justified his call-up. Has been making steady progress at development level - a name to watch out for.

So Adeyemi could have gone to Cambridge and now this kid, we're slowly becoming the smartest team in the league.

He looked very good on the ball and grew in confidence during the game.
The DVP team has some great full backs coming through. With Bell, Tutonda and Tom James stepping up as well. Hope they keep their heads straight and make it.

he played well to be fair. Decent positioning when covering for people leaving gaps when out of position, calm in possession too and only 18. Great addition
But what the f**k are those 3 Bs about? cretin
