I believe Cardiff have No suspensions now, just a few injuries,so Ole has a very strong squad to pick from for Huddersfield and Wigan home :thumbright: :bluescarf: :ole: :ayatollah:

Injured list

Craig Noone
Ben Turner
Javi Guerra hip injury

Spot on Annis I've just checked the FA website and Juan Cala is no longer listed as suspended following last nights match.

Big question is are we now going to see OGS first choice starting 11 against Huddersfield :?

I hope so Gary, plus I would finally like to see a settled first team.
I am very excited by Oles signings, we have a very very strong squad, :ayatollah: so now it's down to Ole to manage them :thumbright:

I expect to beat Huddersfield, they are in dismay,Wigan will be a lot tougher match.

Anthony Pilkington looks a great signing :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We still have a lot of players who are coming back from injuries and haven't had a lot of pre-season. I think it will be a while before we see Ole best 11.
In saying that I don't think Ole is the type to go for a settled team unless maybe we have a very good performance.

Luke, I am chuffed we won last night as now we have another competitive game v Port Vale to get them fit and sharp :thumbright:

But I do believe we need to now to get an early run together,as thus division is a tough one this season and I would love to see the same team play a few games together and gain confidence :thumbright: :bluescarf: :ole: :ayatollah:

Agree Annis, the win last night is great to keep the fringe players fit and to think we have more to add to that list when injuries are back.

I would love to see us go on a run but can't see Ole putting out the likes of Noone, Dicerchoi (can't spell it lol), Pilkington, macheda and a fee others all in one team, they need to be brought in slowly, especially wide players like Noone and Pilkington who tend to pick up injuries.

I think it will take a while but so far so good and a big test coming up in the next two games.

I think we will be Ok Annis. I know you rightly have your doubts about OLe, but I believe Norwich and Fulham both have poor managers.

Good point regarding injuries and a lack of pre season but do you think OGS has any idea at the moment which players would make up his No1 starting 11.

In my opinion there are only a few players who are "Shoe in's" to the starting 11 - Marshall is obviously first choice, maybe Brayford and Fabio are also first choice, but who will the CB be :? . In midfield surely Adeyami hasn't been bought in to sit on the bench so he will be in the starting 11, Daehli and Whitts would be 2 others but up front other than Le Fondre and Maynard our other forwards are either injured coming back from injury or does OGS build a forward line around Kenwyne Jones :?

Your probably right about it taking a while for OGS to settle on his No1 starting 11 but I hope he doesn't do much of his "tinkering" and settles on the best 11 he has available and stick with it.

Well, I hope he DOESN'T pick 11 and stick with them, I want to see Ole develop his rotational system, and we sure has the squad depth to succeed with it. And then we'll see if Ole and his boys are up to it.

I don't think OGS is looking to have a no 1 team. He is looking to have different players so that he can pick a team to beat the opposition based on what he thinks he needs. Man U do it and he is trying to emulate it. You need cleverplayers to change tactics from game to game though. Our are good but nit in Man U class.

Man U always have a core of players, they only change a couple of players that may have been brought in to perform a specific task against specific opposition.
In oles prime, there was certain players that always played, midfield for instance was very settled, scholes, beckham, giggs, keane. The rotation was probably more to do with keeping the strikers like himself happy.

Yes it was, he is now available for saturday but lacks match fitness, i can only see him being on the bench.

Anyone expecting Ole to stick with a settled team should be prepared for a bit of frustration.

I'm sure it will be used as a stick to beat him with as well.

The squad is not fully functioning yet even if we have no players banned. There are a few injured and a couple not fully fit due to not getting a full pre-season.

Juan Cala's ban was three games. Chelsea, Blackburn and Coventry.

I would rather have OLe than that Penfold lookalike at Fulham, I've heard the Fulham players don't like him. I don't think everything is rosie at Norwich either.

From what we've seen so far he likes to rotate his squad but has he builds his own squad with players he's brought in we might start to see some stickers. If we get a good run going which we didn't have last season can expect a more settled side it's common sense. With the only changes being for knocks and suspensions. Good to see some of the other players last night and the gamble payed off. Worryingly another goal from a cross where the striker got between the two central defenders but some nice football at times and some fringe players showing they can do a job if needed

Ole will adjust the team after which formation he´ll be using. Obviously the team won´t be the same in a 4 2 2 2 formation with inside wings, or 4 5 1/4 3 3 with outside wings. In some matches when playing with pure wing backs, we might need two holding midfielders, i.e. Adeyemi and Dikgacoi (come on guys, show the lad a bit respect and spell his name correctly), while a 4 5 1 formation might have room only for one of them. I think this alternations, as long as the players know exactly what is expected from them in the different roles, give us great flexibility that can only be an advantage. Meeting Huddersfield at home is very much a different task than playing Blackburn away. And with matches every Tuesday and Saturday, I don´t really see the logic in sending the same 11 players out every time. At the end of the season, I think we will benefit a lot from having rested the players a bit. Unlike many other teams, we have the squad for it.

Don't get me wrong I want a settled team that is only changed due to injuries, bans or poor performance.

I just think we have to prepare ourselves for squad rotation and all the complaints from fans that comes from that sort of system.

Exactly, there is a reason why all of Malky's sides fell away massively at the back end of the season and that was due to minimal squad rotation. This caused fatigue amongst the group and we lacked any players with game time under their belt to come in to replace them.

Now we have a larger squad it makes sense to rotate the players through and keep everyone fresh. Having only 12-14 players playing 46 championship games plus cup games would be utter lunacy. I really cannot understand the logic of some people.
