The difference between the two clubs and fans yesterday

Wed Aug 13, 2014 4:05 pm

Whilst Real Madrid have banned their main firm 'Ultras Sur', Seville put on a plane for 300 of their Britie Norte firm at their clubs expense.

Reminds me of SH and his coach to Mansfield!!! Lol

Stop wanking over Madrid

Seville fans were 50 times better In a final that's all that counts

Any fans can chant don't have to be in a firm :sleepy2:

If Sevilla banned their 'firm', I'm sure it would've been a different story.

Excatly Jon, many would say that the atmosphere watching City was never the same after banning orders come into place

Also given the factor of that's where I was born then why shouldn't I 'wank' over them as you so nicely put it..?

The point is that it's stupid to say that "Sevilla fans were 50 times better than Real Madrid fans in a final" when you ignore the big fact that their 'firm' weren't allowed to attend, Sevilla fans were total class but the banned Real Madrid fans would've given them some competition that's for sure :thumbright:

Ultras are groups of vocal supporters, often with political views. Firms are a groups of hooligans.

Granted but many of the more hardcore amongst Ultra groups cause violence

Difference between clubs: 2 goals and a piece of silverware.

Difference between fans: who cares? I'm not interested in firms, ultras, blah blah blah.

The point is that a major fixture took place at the magnificent CCS (not a red seat to be seen) featuring two of the most exciting players ever to grace our city.

And you guys are arguing about who were the best chanters, singers, hardest, etc. Those days are gone and chat about how it would have been if certain fans had been allowed to travel are simply immature IMO.

What a great occasion for The CCS!

Sorry, not all of us like to sit down quietly with our prawn sandwiches at a football match. :old:

Clark's pie actually!

The point I was making is what about the football? Real Madrid's team featured some of the best players on the planet. Somehow that has been lost in translation here.

What about Bale's incredible long cross/pass onto Ronaldo's toe, not to mention the passes just before and the mobility of the players?

Fans do make a difference at times, but in this case, class on the pitch was the overriding factor. Yes, the fans created a great atmosphere too but I very much doubt if the absence of some 'hardcore' fans caused Sevilla to lose.

No one's saying that the absence of fans caused Sevilla to lose, and it was the Real Madrid fans who were banned anyway not the Sevilla fans, so your last paragraph doesn't make much sense

This thread is about the fans, not who won or lost or what happened on the pitch. Everyone was talking about how the Real Madrid fans were crap and the Sevilla fans were quality (both true), but most people didn't know that Real Madrid's "ultras" weren't allowed to attend, if they were the atmosphere would've been twice as good. That's all. To many of us, there's more to football than what happens on the pitch. :thumbright:
