Seem to have a relaxed attitudes to some of the Spainiards behaviours, constant standing in the aisles, people smoking EVERYWHERE, there was a group of about 12 Madrid fans at the front of block 106 who stood for the whole game right in front of a couple of stewards, one of the stewards (either number 145 or 154) sat sown on a plastic chair for the whole game and appeared to offer no value to his colleagues at all, perhaps he's meant to do that ??

If I was a spaniard, who spoke english, I'd still say "no english" and ignore the requests of the stewards

Not sure of the stadium policies over in Spain, but to be fair to the stewards, if the Spanish are used to being able to stand and/or smoke, then is it really worth trying to get them to stop in these circumstances? Other way around, our fans would probably get attacked by police but you get my point

I wish they would be relaxed at our games, instead of spoiling the atmosphere

I think there may be something in that, and there was probably an instruction to not enforce the smoking ban, I mean there must have been. I did laugh at the one glory hunting steward where someone ran on from the Grange end and was caught by a Grange end steward, whilst the 'Please can I get on TV steward' sprinted accross from the Canton end to 'help'. I think the steward in the plastic chair may have been having a nap at this time.

A couple of stewards were involved in a bit of a fracas with some of the ultras at the front of the family stand.
Seemed to be a row over a banner. It was getting out of hand at one point. Feisty bunch of fans in that section.

Thought they were very slow to chase down the people who invaded the pitch. Didn't think they noticed the guy who ran on to hug Ronaldo!

As a steward brought in especially for the Super Cup, we were informed in the briefing that the all the Sevilla Ultras behind the goal would be standing and that Madrid had sold no tickets to their ultras hence the difference in atmosphere at both ends.
Also there were no half time smoking gates for fans to be let out, so a lot of stewards were having to patrol the concourse and toilets and that the game as in all UEFA games was a dry stadium. The policy were dictated by UEFA not by Cardiff City, there were also a lot of G4 stewards who were responsible for on pitch security, hope that helps.
