A loan move for the young Portuguese defender is Plan B for Bluebirds' Solskjaer should his old club refuse let him take the 21-year-old for the season

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to move for Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori if he fails to land Michael Keane from Manchester United.
The Cardiff manager is keen to strengthen his defensive resources having sold Steven Caulker to QPR and seen Ben Turner ruled out for a month with an ankle injury.
Solskjaer is hoping United boss Louis van Gaal will allow him to take Keane on loan for the rest of the season.

Keane has had previous loan spells at Leicester, Blackburn and Derby, and Van Gaal is close to making a decision about the 21-year-old’s immediate future.
Should he fail to land Keane, Solskjaer will turn his attentions to a loan deal for Ilori.
The 21-year-old Portuguese has also been linked with a season-long switch to French club Bordeaux.
Solskjaer said: “We have been having a lot of conversations with managers at big clubs about players they do not think are going to be in their squad this season, and could be interested in sending them out on loan.
“We cannot confirm or deny until we sign someone. There has been loads said about players from Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea coming here on loan, but there is no-one here yet.
“I need one extra but I am not doing it just to have numbers, it must be the right player.”
