Klose retires from international football

Mon Aug 11, 2014 10:47 pm

Miro Klose today announced his retirement from international football with Germany. The 36yo striker holds the record of most goals scored at WC tournaments (16 !!!) and also leads the internal German record of brilliant strikers with 71 goals (!!!) scored for the national team.

He will remain to play with Lazio in Italy, a fab sportsman left the international stage today. Amazing player imo... :ayatollah:

Sad news but not shocking news.

I think this guy is a true sportsman, even this World Cup starting or not he was still more than happy to be a part.

Great he broke the record in the win v Brazil as it wasn't just a massive win but also the game Klose got the record.

Muller hopefully now will chase the record down, ain't he on 10 already? Only 24 and got 2/3 world cups in him. :ayatollah:
