A question for you all...

Mon Aug 11, 2014 10:15 am

Which scenario would give us the best chance of promotion A or B?

A) All teams we play against will have 10 players only for the whole game.

B) All teams we play against have goals that are 1 yard wider and 1 foot taller, for the whole game.

I know I've got too much time on my hands but was thinking of this on the way home from Blackburn.

Aha, 9 outfield players and a keeper.
On the other board they are leaning towards the bigger goals.

I think if you can plan to play ten men then you would be set up to maximize the advantage. When it happens in a game you have to react to utilise the advantage which can be difficult.
Also when a team is reduced during a match it can galvanise and motivate them. If they knew they were going to start with ten they would be feeling negative before hand.

The enlarged goals would encourage more shooting but would the differnce be similar to playing against a five foot eight goalkeeper to a six foot ten goalkeeper? :D
