Tottenham Hotspur released Giancarlo Gallifuoco in June, he is an Australian 20 year old Central defender who also played as a defensive midfielder for Spurs in the U21 Premier League.
Gallifuoco has represented Australia at various levels up to u20 level.
I have been told he spent last week on trial at City, staying at the Vale.
Could he be signing for City ?

Don't know much about him at all, but we need defenders.
Obviously promising if he's at a club the size of Spurs at 20-years-old.
Central defender too, a position we clearly need.

I'm assuming this is with consideration of chucking him into the DVP squad initially. Worth looking at of course, but my hopes won't be sky high for a player that Spurs deem not having PL potential but also not worth them getting on a pro contract so they can command a fee of some kind in the future. Hopefully the guy proves himself.
Another free youth player I'd like us to consider is Chike Kandi, two years younger (18), just released by Chelsea. He is a regular U18 Wales internationals who has had loads of playing experience for the 'Chels'. Physically impressive. He has been on trial at two very good youth academies this summer in Charlton and West Brom. I think he's from Bath and with the Welsh connection he surely would consider us...
If we were to sign these two it would give us the chance to loan a couple of our DVP players who are ready for league football. Rhys Healy is ready.

On his twitter he replied to someone about this like "where on earth did you hear that?", so I think it's safe to assume this one isn't happening.
