Respect to our manager

Sat Aug 09, 2014 1:28 pm

I am sure there are fans on this message board that were aware of the behaviour of a couple of our players last season which was totally inexplicable. Our manager is tough on such matters and demands the upmost professionalism from each and every member of his staff.

Two players were involved in incidents last season before our manager was at the club but also towards the end of the campaign, there were embarrassing episodes for our club.

Ole Solskjaer does not want and will not accept this type of behaviour at the club and had no hesitation letting players go who do not toe the line.

Caulker and Campbell were players who let the club down off the pitch on nights out and club management had to intervene on a couple of occasions earlier last season.

There were incidents involving the pair at a pub in Penarth and also another time where our captain was taken to a police station in Bridgend, both occasions involved being drunk and disorderly.

Our manager deserves respect for putting his foot down and not allowing these types of individuals disrupting what we are trying to achieve on and off the pitch.

I think it was documented at the time about the players misbehaving in Penarth and I don't think that is a secret, I haven't heard anything about Bridgend. To be honest when we signed Caulker there were plenty of jacks who said he liked the pop it but too much amongst other things but at the same time I am sure they wanted him to sign for them after a successful loan spell

Regards to Ole, if he believed the players would not change and they were behaving this way I don't care how good any player is, we don't need it and good on him I say.

Bit strange making a bid for ravel morison then isnt it with his total disregard for professionalism?

And how did these pair get punished? Because they still played almost every game between them
