Why is everyone panicing about our defence tonight with the back four lining up of Brayford, Connelly, Hudson and Fabio. Last season Brayford didnt play, Connelly and Hudson had only a handfull of games between them and Fabio had around ten games coming from a point of not football before January, so how can we compare this back four with last year.
So I pose the question why are we saying this back four is dodgy!!!!

I truly believe the key to sorting out defense lies in midfield and Dikgacoi/Whittingham/Adeyemi. From what I've seen, the link between midfield and defense have given the back four some bad working conditions. I'll be the first to say that Hudson and Connolly aren't the best CBs in the world, but they should be decent at Championship level. With Cala and eventually Turner back, there really isn't a crisis as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think that back 4 is that bad.If your gonna play a more open style of football(thank f**k)then you will concede more.On paper there are worse defenses about than those 4.Like Ole says alot of our goals conceded have been through individual errors rather than poor team play.Yes we do need a couple more defensive bods but I'm not panicking yet.Now that I've said this I'll probably have egg all over my face tomorrow.

Bradford is highly thought of, Hudson is a known quantity, Connelly has won the Championship 3 seasons in a row & Fabio should be fine.
The back four itself is fine, the worry is, that should injury strike further, we will have no options.
