are we lucky tan has not done debt to equity?

Fri Aug 08, 2014 8:11 am

yet
lets be honest what was the debt when he first said he would turn debt to equity
a lot less than it is today
so if he had done it then we would still have debt today
or do those calling for it exspect him to do it year after year
maybe like selling a young player with potential and putting a sell on clause in the contract
we could get tan to sign a contract when he turns our debt to equity to continue turning our debt to equity year on year
and if he sells us and goes he will come back every year and pay our debts off
personally Im glad he hasn't done it yet and as long he keeps us competitive on the field and continues to bank role us I don't care
he can only get back what we are worth
so if hes owed £100million or £200million or even £300 million surely it only lowers the value of his shares :bluescarf: :ole:

You've made a very good point. The best time to convert the investment to equity would be when the club is at its most valuable. That's when Tan will get the most shares per buck. If we had stayed in the PL, he'd probably have done it this season. As things are, we'll have to wait till we get promoted.

MInd you, this won't stop some people here going on about 'broken promises' and such bullshit, their hate for Tan blinds them to the simple facts of the matter.

Use your noggins fellas. You are dreaming if you think VT will do it for 120 mill let alone 300 mill. I think his comment at the time referred to the debt at that moment which was around a third of what it is now, which he may well still do. The rest is the clubs debt.

You clearly have no idea how business works. Tan isn't liable for the debt. Cardiff City is as a Ltd company. Tan could send the club through any day he wanted to be honest. He won't because the club owes him money that he's lent the club. Cardiff City had liabilities - they were pretty small and owed to Sam and others. Now Cardiff City has huge liabilities and they're owed predominantly to Tan.

Now tell me who was worse for our club? People claim Tan saved our club but he has done it using loans, not out of the kindness of his heart.
