Portsmouth have signed Paul Robinson on a short-term loan from Millwall, according to Sky Sports.
The veteran defender joins from Millwall where he made over 350 appearances at the club, and will be on the South Coast for the initial first four weeks of the League Two campaign.

Robinson scored the goal which sent Millwall up to the Championship via the playoffs back in 2010 and he told their website: “It’s a good chance for me to go and get some games under my belt.

“Portsmouth are a massive club and the chance to play so many games in 28 days was too big an opportunity to resist.

“Hopefully I can go there to improve my match sharpness and help a big club on its path to getting back to where it belongs.”

Portsmouth kick their season off at Exeter on Saturday.

Brentford have agreed a one-year deal with former QPR and Cardiff City forward Tommy Smith.

The 34-year-old has been on trial at Griffin Park after leaving the Bluebirds at the end of last season.

Smith impressed as a second-half substitute in Saturday's pre-season friendly win over Crystal Palace and has done enough to convince boss Mark Warburton to hand him a one-year contract at Griffin Park.
