all this work for a meeting.miles of fencing going up,major roads will be closed and not just around the hotel,seems like an awful lot of expense for not alot back..surely they could of had it in a secure base like downing street...just my opinion..

there are no plans to close m4 but it may be for very short period to allow dignatories access to celtic manor! but there will be road closures in cardiff & newport centres at certain times due to visiting dignitories! this is from ambulance service who i do volunteer work for.

Like said ( NOT PLANNED )! but may close depends on who or what happens same for newport & cardiff centres. More likely rolling rd blocks on m4 to allow easy access for dignitories vehicles. got long list of what is happening. And i am only putting out what i have been told officially as i may need to access mentioned areas on particular days of summit.

'Apprantly' all the old bill were told to take their holidays on the weekend of the Gaza march because of this. Stone thing in the number of 14,000 officers on duty for this. Obviously that's not all South Wales/Ghent police but who is picking the tab up for this ?

details are being kept top secret, for all I know it could land at heathrow but Cardiff is the nearest airport.

Yeah they are gunna be doing rolling roadblocks and it will be from Cardiff airport up the A4232 and the M4. Other roads will be affected though gunna be a nightmare for anyone using them.

Noticed the OB escorting three or four black limos several times over the last few weeks. Motorcycle outriders, that kind of thing. Both in the city centre, and on the M4. Sort of thing we don't usually see in Cardiff.

They are flying in to Cardiff airport, roads from the Airport and through Barry will be closed (including port road) schools are also closed throughout the date due to this.

Although Cardiff Airport, they could close for a week and not effect anyone.

All this is to protect the Celtic Manor from the locals and make the world leaders forget they're basically in Ringland - the biggest warzone they'll have ever been to...
