' Jordon Mutch thanks Cardiff City '

Wed Aug 06, 2014 3:28 pm

Jordon Mutch has thanked everyone connected with former club Cardiff City following his move to Queens Park Rangers.

The midfielder, who has spent the past two years in South Wales, joined QPR on a four-year deal on Tuesday.

Mutch was part of the Cardiff side that gained promotion to the Premier League in 2013, though they failed to stay up last season.

The 22-year-old tweeted: "Just want to thank everyone at Cardiff for a fantastic 2 seasons. Memories that I will never forget. Thanks to the fans for all the support and all the staff... and most of all my teammates!! Hopefully get back in the Premier League!"

QPR are understood to have paid around £5m for Mutch's services.

Of all the players who've left this summer he is the one I think we'll miss the most.

Wish him well for the future.

Thanks Jordan. It's understandable that you had to leave. I will never forget your goal away to Fulham last season.

All the best.

Apart from one response a very decent farewell from all on here & credit to you for that. Once a better player leaves it's very very easy to hammer them & get nasty I've done it myself, we love our clubs it's natural!

As I mentioned before I don't know Mutch (sorry :) ) about this kid at all but from what I've read he sounds like he'll be a handy acquisition for QPR. I hope you manage to get in some good replacements as this season in the CCC will be very tough I think, it is every year but I can see this year being harder than it has been for a while.

I'd put Derby as favourites unsurprisingly and even Blackburn I can see having a good season for some reason. Fulham I'm not to sure about & yourselves the only thing I'd say that's a worry is OGS and his lack of management in this country. To get out of the championship I think it takes more than just being good tactically I think you have to have some real nous about you & experience is key. Look back and count how many young up & coming managers have been promoted, not many. I'm sure you'll give it a top shot & I'm looking forward to Friday already.

You've got a good player who is only going to get better.

Regarding derby being favourites I don't see it. Last season they relied heavily on wisdom, Thorne and Bamford. Wisdom and Bamford have gone and Thorne is out for most of season. They'll struggle to make play offs.

I agree to an extent mate but Steve Maclaren is a very good coach / manager. They have the nucleus of a good side & the play off defeat will give them extra motivation. Who do you fancy out of interest?

Nice guy, got potential still to fill.. deserves Premier League.

Ain't upset about him going, he didn't want to be here so why should I be concerned?

When confident and the team are playing well, he usually steps up.

I think we have the best squad, especially if the names being mentioned sign, however, the championship is unpredictable. I do think we are the team to beat though.

As for Jordon Mutch, I wish him all the best. He's a quality player when he wants to be but I thought he went missing when the going got tough last season. Keep him injury free though and he will do well. Doesn't mind a shot from distance and makes good driving runs

Tough to call. Wigan to win it.
Top 6 will also include Norwich, Fulham, ccfc, wolves and either Ipswich, Bournemouth or derby.
