Chico Flores leaving Swansea City for Michael Laudrup reunion?

Chico Flores is apparently on the verge of leaving Premier League Swansea City to reunite with former manager Michael Laudrup at Qatari club Lekhwiya SC.

Laudrup signed the defender during his 18-month spell in charge at the Liberty Stadium and the Dane has been alerted by rumours regarding his availability.

Reports have suggested that Swans boss Garry Monk is willing to part with the 27-year-old, who was at the centre of a couple of dressing room fallouts last season, in the summer transfer window.

Sky Sports News claims that Chico is in advanced talks with Lekhwiya and could soon be the third Spanish player to be offload in Monk's reshuffle of the squad, after Michu and Alejandro Pozuelo.

Chico has made 75 appearances in all competitions for the Swans since joining from Italian outfit Genoa.

Middlesbrough have agreed a deal with Huddersfield Town to sign sought-after midfielder Adam Clayton, Goal understands.

The 25-year-old has 12 months left on his current contract and turned down the offer of a new deal to stay at the John Smith's Stadium.

Clayton has also been the subject of interest from Championship promotion hopefuls Brighton, but Middlesbrough look set to win the race to sign the midfielder.

The former Leeds United man is set to cost Middlesbrough an initial £1.5 million in a deal which could rise to £2m after add-ons.

Clayton started his career with Manchester City before making the move to Elland Road in 2010.

The midfielder made 84 league appearances for Huddersfield since joining the club in 2012 and scored seven goals in the Championship last season.
