Tuesday 5th August 2014.
Crisis club Blackpool are finally closing in on a keeper after launching a move for Joe Lewis from Cardiff.
Though it is understood to be a loan deal, rather than a permanent transfer, under-fire chairman Karl Oyston will be relieved to have ended the search for a number one, so close to the start of the new season.
Cardiff’s 26-year old former England Under 21 keeper, signed from Peterborough two years ago, is expected to arrive at Bloomfield Road on a season-long loan in the next 24 hours, provided there is no last-minute hitch.
Oyston will be desperately hoping it does go through after an embarrassing lack of senior players led to calls for his head from exasperated Blackpool fans, who have seen their club installed as the bookies’ favourites for relegation.
The Tangerines have boosted their squad with the permanent signings of Jacob Mellis, Peter Clarke and Tomasz Cywka, plus the loan capture of West Brom's Donervon Daniels.

Good move all round. We can cope with the capable Moore as understudy for Marshall and Lewis gets first team experience.

Doesn't look like he has a future with us if he is number 3.
Hope this is a six month loan. This puts him in the shop window. Hopefully he lives up to his potential and we get a decent fee come the January transfer window.
I think he'll do very well - if he plays.

be good just make it so he cant play against us

Let him go with a 24hour call back.
I’ve rarely seen him live but everytime i’ve seen highlights he seems to mess up and usually against weaker teams in the cups. A good shot stopper but that’s about it.
In saying that it maybe more beneficial for Moore to go out and get game time than Lewis.

It looks as if he has gone on a season long loan. I think that means we will not be able to recall him if we have an injury crisis. Am I right about that? If so, is Ole looking to bring in another keeper as back up I wonder?

I doubt it 2 keepers and a youth keeper emergency loan is also there if we need it

Wouldn't like to see an of our youth keepers anywhere near the first team. Emergency loan it is then. Let's hope it doesn't come down to the likes of Bywater!

No not on a season long loan.
In fairness just having 2 keepers isn't a big deal in the championship as you can still loan.
