Louis van Gaal eyes £100m EXODUS with Wilfried Zaha and Nani topping Man Utd exit list

LOUIS VAN GAAL is ready to ditch about £100million worth of players after spending three weeks casting a critical eye over Manchester United's squad.

Van Gaal has been using United's pre-season tour here not only to prepare his players for the new season but to decide who fits into his plans and who doesn't.

Nani, Shinji Kagawa, Javier Hernandez and Wilfried Zaha all look likely to be victims of Van Gaal's cull, along with Marouane Fellaini and Anderson, who were not included in the tour squad.

Van Gaal has given all 26 of the players plenty of game-time in United's five tour matches.

But it has not just been the player's performances in games that have come under his scrutiny but also their responses to his demanding training routines, which have either exposed weaknesses in technique, a failure to grasp what he is looking for or they simply do not fit into the 3-4-1-2 system he wants to play this season.

Van Gaal has left everyone guessing who might fall under his axe because he wants to tell the players face-to-face once they have returned to Manchester from their tour tomorrow (Wed).

That leaves United three weeks before the end of the transfer window to move players on and bring in targets like Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen and Ajax wing back Daley Blind.

Adam Clayton is signing for Middlesborough for £1.5m. Sam Baldock won't sign either as they want £3m - £4m.

We're getting relegated this season. Sold our best players for £15m and can't sign anyone. Fan meeting tonight with Mr Bloom, Barber and Burke. Hope they're bringing their tin hats :D

I have lost interest as the club are taking us fans for idiots but you get the gullible fans who believe every spin and bullshit that they say.

The football is shocking, backwards, forwards, sideways, backwards and repeat. 23,000 season ticket holders last season and now 20k, next season it'll drop even more.

I get more excitement watching this than thinking about how well we're do this season so I'm going to learn how to play trombone and Serenading the cattle on Saturdays.

QPR have made their third signing of the summer with the acquisition of midfielder Jordon Mutch. The 22-year-old arrives at Loftus Road from Cardiff City for a fee believed to be around a potential £6 million.

The highly-rated midfielder has agreed a four-year deal with the club which will see him through to the summer of 2018.

Mutch, who scored seven goals and provided five assists in the Premier League for Cardiff last season, told qpr.co.uk: I`m really delighted to be here, back in the Premier League."

"I don`t see a better place for me than QPR at the moment. The club is heading in the right direction and I`m really excited about the season ahead."

"I thought I had a good first season in the Premier League last year with Cardiff, so I was delighted when QPR came in for me and offered a route back to the top-flight."

Harry Redknapp was equally as pleased with the arrival of the Derby-born midfielder and added: Jordon`s a fine young player, with a big, big future."

"He`s already shown what he can do at this level with Cardiff last season with a decent goals return - and this move will provide him with a great platform to take his game on to the next level."

Mutch spent most of his youth at Derby County but moved to Birmingham in 2007, making his first senior start in 2008 at the age of just 16. He spent time on loan at Hereford United, Doncaster Rovers and Watford gaining valuable first team experience in his four years with The Blues.

In 2012 the midfielder signed for Cardiff City and won promotion to the Premier League in his first season with the club. Despite his seven goals he was unable to prevent relegation for The Bluebirds the following campaign.

Mutch arrives at QPR with an ever-growing reputation and much like his ex-Cardiff teammate Steven Caulker could prove to be an astute bit of business from the club. Redknapp`s side have been in dire need of another midfielder to bolster their attacking prospects and Mutch fits the bill with his age, talent and ability.
