Myself, I thought the link up play between Adam Le Fondre and Nicky Maynard on Saturday was top notch, I would like to see them start with Kenwynne coming on as an impact sub.
Would like to see your opinions

Think I would start Le Fondre & Jones.
Haven't seen much of Guerra to form a opinion yet but going on his record last year looks promising.think they all with have their chance it's whoever grabs it.
But we got so many options up top we could switch it around depending on opposition or how the game is going.

How come u didn't pick Le fondre Dando? I'm completely torn. Without basing it completely on performance, I'd like guerra to start. Not sure who with because they're all firing.

Adam Le Fondre was a tough one to leave out, was the third option, just think he would be useful off the bench for this game.

Based on preseason i love le fondre the most, such a well rounded striker, he has to start for me but who to play him with? Guerra seems adept at bringing others into play, once we get noone back he could shine with some pace around him to play with. i like Kenwyne's power but as of right now i want to see le fondre paired with Macheda. Maynard is good but Kiko has something extra, he's so easy to hit and has a great workrate and finish. it would've been nice to keep Campbell for his out and out pace but i'm happy.
elsewhere i think eikrem works well in the wide role as long as he has fabio on the outside, he doesn't seem to work as well with john. if Ole is intending to play eikrem and whitts then i'm suprised he doesn't stick them both in the middle with KG behind, having eikrem wide is....unusual. But Ole also wants to play 2 strikers so i guess he has to play him wide. Eikrem isn't as good on the deck as others so if he starts getting closed down then i would bring daehli on to replace him in a free role. This means that we need a pacey winger on the other side to suplement.
i like this pattern, it means that we get a different style of attack down both wings, this is what Ole was testing against Wolfsburg. From their goals we can tell that we're unlikely to face anything like the second in the championship but this can be solved with better closing down. Their third was annoying but also a great finish, perhaps connoly needs to get accross his man faster. Tactically there wasn't much we could do about the first other than learning to clear.
Based on this i think that this will more or less be Ole's starting 11 for blackburn. However he needs to consider the threat that they pose, we can't allow Conway to get into our channels or get crosses in so we need to double up on our right. we also need to be careful of the link play between Rhodes and Gestede, perhaps we should play the more physical turner and Cala to deal with their big forwards and keep a deeper defensive line. Brayford is more solid than fabio so hopefully we can deal with everything on our right anyway.

For once we actually have a luxury of a choice!! I really don't know who I'd start with really. Think it would have to be Maynard & Jones with Le Fondre off the bench. Feel bad for leaving Macheda & Guerra out though!

I saw Maynard on Saturday morning having breakfast with his family... He seemed really relaxed and chilled out... I think he could have a great season for us - would like to start him on Friday.

Tough one to leave out Alf. It is great to see how many people are calling for Maynard to start though
