Michael Keane was in Manchester Uniteds starting 11 against Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup match in Ann Arbor Michigan last night. Keane conceded the penalty which Gareth Bale converted in the first half.
Despite this, Louis van Gaal was delighted with how well Manchester United’s defenders have adapted to the new system he has introduced on Tour 2014. LVG was asked if the youngsters would be involved in the first team at the start of the season, van Gaal replied: “Not too early, because we have to see if they can fit in our team. "You saw them play today and they can do the job but not for a lot of matches – they can do it for one match".
I really think Keane will stay at Old Trafford the next season and will not join Bluebirds on loan

Totally agree with everything in your post. Unfortunately Keane looks too good for the Championship now.

I think LVG will definitely sign at least one new cb hummels possibly or another target if he don't come off.
Say hummels or another target signed which is highly likely where in the pecking order does that leave keane. Here's the pecking order prob -
Hummels or another target
Jonny Evans
Phil jones
Chris smalling
Michael keane
He's 5th there and wouldn't benefit his development being sat on the bench all season would it

Agree with your list, Blue Magic.
Any thoughts on using any conduit that might work in our favor, between Giggs & Ole, to persuade Van Gaal to allow Keane to come on loan to us ???
IMO, Giggs & Ole must have had a close relationship at Man U ?

Yes hopefully ole has already been on the phone to giggsy and what better side to send keane to than the best side and favourites for promotion in the championship and to someone that Man U can trust in ole

If Van Gaal decides to send him on loan, the rumor is that Cardiff is the preferred destination by both United and the player. He knows Ole from the reserve team so i think we will get him, unless a PL team comes for him

maybe giigs wont want to help Cardiff after the way some fans treated him when played last season??
I belive he wasn't happy about the treatment.

Good. Deserved the stick he got as far as i'm concerned.
He's nothing to do with Cardiff City - never has been and never will be. Why should we kiss his backside just because he was born here?
And one of the most accurate chants last year was aimed at Giggs - he was only Welsh when it suited him (and his beloved Man United).
Any decision on Keane will be made by Van Gaal - Giggs will have nothing to do with it.

To me that statement by LVG suggests Keane WILL go out on loan.
He suggests that Keane may not get a run of games but has shown he could perform in a single game.

I can see Liecester going back in for him?
I would love to get MK. He plays way beyond his years. He is a cultured ball playing CB. He also has pace which means we can be less fussy with his CB partner. i.e. Hudson could trike up a great partnership IMO.

Usually loan spells can be decided by the player with discussions with the manager, Ole could be the big pull in this.

LVG has said on SSN this morning that he will decide on his transfers after tomorrow's match against the scouse.
We may well have a decision either way later this week I guess.

But you've forgotten another young centre back for your list.
There's a lad who played against Liverpool last night called Blackett. He played on the left of LVG's back 3 & looked very good to me. He could be above Keane on the list if he fits in with his formation of 3 at the back.

Maybe, not sure If a left back(Blackett) can convert into LVG 3 man def. Was thinking LVG wants a trio of cb's, dunno.
