Sat Aug 02, 2014 2:16 pm

just wondering as the Blackburn is on SkySports will there be some sort of protest e.g. Balloons, scarfs, cards etc? :bluescarf:

Just surport the team ffs

Re: Blackburn Protest?

I do think that some of our fans only want to attend games to 'protest' rather than support the team,

Na too late now for that nonsense

Re: Blackburn Protest?

I will be going to Blackburn wearing blue as always, but if any additional protests are being done up there then I am all for it. Our identity is way more important than a result or what division we are in. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Can do both.

What do people get out of away support protests? Tan won't gve a damn what the fans are doing at Blackburn. At least at home he gets aggrivated. Do what you like with blue displays etc. But don't use Blackburn as a we hate tan party, actually sing chants that back the team, rather than travelling a shit load of miles on a Friday, to chant hatred at one man whose thousands of miles away?

Away from home? When you travel all that way, just to do something you could do at your home ground, in front of the man they dislike?

Yes. The situation doesn't change, just because we are away from home.

Yes it does. Travel all that way on a coach etc, just to scream your hate for one man, rather than back the team. Then get pissed off at the result when you were more fussed on screaming hate for a man. I have no problem with fans in blue or wearing blue, I'm a fan of the displays. But the anti-tan chants bore me to hell and back when we're away from home, he can't hear us and doesn't care

No it doesn't. The team are still mainly in a red kit & have been rebranded so the anti rebrand songs are still valid.

Where were anti Tan songs mentioned? All it said was protest & hinted at suggestions about promoting the blue and true identity of CCFC.

A protest is usually riddled with anti Tan chants, I have no problem with 'we'll always be blue' etc but its just boring as hell seeing these people spend their money to say they hate someone, it's almost like they don't want to be there, that they travel all this way to let out their hatred at him. Rather than enjoy themselves and sing positive chants about the team

I don't mind blue chants and I'm bored of anti tan chants... Well everyone to themselves. But you can sit quietly as we chant

Jordan, there are only a handful of people who chant about Tan, the vast majority of the chants are just pro-blue.

Who's mentioned the 'we hate Tan' as a protest?
Even at home the protest is nearly all about the blue & not anti Tan.
I'm all for the 'blue' songs, 19.27 etc & I'm against the anti Tan chanting. You can protest against the red rebrand & still support the team during the match.

Re: Blackburn Protest?

Why do some people get pissed off when someone mentions a protest

You can protest and back the team for f**k sake

If we had a bit more backbone and bollocks it wouldn't of happened in the first place.

Mentioned this a while back, pack the away end with scarfs, flags and balloons. Until we get our identity back we cant stop.

It's not difficult to support the players and our identity. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:
