My Opinion On Our Strikers

There's been a lot of hype being built up pre season about our strikers. However, i cant see any one of them standing out individually. I think it'll be similar to our promotion season a couple of years ago when a lot of different players chipped in with a few goals.

I can see Macheda, Jones, Maynard, Le Fondre and Guerra all picking up 7-10 goals each. The fact that we have so much quality in this position is a good and bad thing. Good because there will be fierce competition for starting places which means all of them will give 100% (apart from Jones ) every game. But also bad as i feel too much squad rotation wont be good for the team.

Personally i'd rather have 2-3 strikers scoring 10-25 goals a season than 4-5 scoring 7-10.

Do you think 2 strikers will cement their place in the team this season or will there be a lot of rotation?

I tend to agree, I don't think there's been anyone as yet that have stood out above the rest.
I'm not confident that Ole can keep a consistent team and will rotate to keep everyone happy.

The point is that different trikers ll succeed against different teams, nothing ade this more obvious than jones against yeovil compared guerra, le fondre and maynard who couldnt manage much. Ole doesnt seam to set up very well so i expect the bench to be mostly made up of strikers for this reason.
