Mr Macheda, Burgstaller and Dickachoi in attendance.
Kiko and Burgstaller did most of talking due to GB's lack of English. FM came accross as a real character (responsible for many wind ups within squad) - he described GB as a wide midfielder who likes to cut in rather than an out and out winger (the perfect foil for our rampaging full backs maybe. Dickachoi was scared shi@less of Pulis - suggested he ruled by fear. Two rated Whitts as our best player atm, one said Daehli. They all agreed Daehli was the quickest in the squad (I was surprised by that) and they regard Wigan as major threat this year. They look forward to playing infront of our 'crazy' fans. Macheda has set himself a goal target of 20 for the season and they said that although the dressing room was 'too quiet to start with, with many players too busy on mobile phones to talk', ther eis now a good spirit amongst players, particularly since Austrian tour. Dickachoi said Ben Turner was 'weird' and would often scream at people for no reason. All in all an enjoyable hour.

Mmmm, I agree. He said Ole encourages players to express themselves whereas Pulis would scream at you for every mistake.

Pulis is famous for it, didn't he fine players for shoe boating? At the end of the day its effective.

I see what youre saying but there are certain players that react negatively to that management style - one mans meat is another mans poison as the saying goes. That's why managers tend to bring in a few of 'Their type of players' whenever they go to a new club to help them instil their new culture.

That style of management might be effective to a certain type of player and a certain type of style football.
But creative players cant run around being shitscared of making mistakes. You won't develope any flair players like that, wont make for very adventurous football either.

Did you ever see pulis playing.......he used to kick the shit out of people ......would not get away with it now, but it was effective in them days, most sides had a tough tackler.his only downfall was he could not play football.
