I still have not booked my holiday's I've got the last 2 weeks of August off , my wife is saying book something and I'm saying lets wait , any advise on this matter ?

Normally hard to get a cheap last minute deal end of August but with all the plane crashes lately a lot of nervous people will have cancelled. This is a good site to keep an eye on http://www.holidaypirates.com/holidaypackages
